Hey there!
NAME: Allison
AGE: 36
INTERESTS & HOBBIES: I was on LJ and DW a while ago and have returned for 2019. I made a list of 19 goals and want to talk about my progress with them. So, common topics on my DW will be reading (I'm big on diversity, own-voices, romance: m/f (historical) and f/f (contemporary), and historical fiction), vocal music, meditation, running, sustainability (of the save the planet type), vegetarianism, cooking, and data science. I am also a big crafter -- largely knitting and sewing -- so I am sure that will feature too.
LOOKING FOR: What type of journals are you looking for?
I love to connect with some other people who are not only (or primarily) in the fandom space. I have been into various fandoms in the past, and may return in the future, but right now that is not where my interests lie.

I'm a thirtysomething teacher and a mother of two. I post mostly about my daily life, with some meme and book or TV show review to mix things up. I quite often post pics, because I love photography even though I'm very much an amateur.
I usually post at least once a week, though now that I am on maternity leave post more often than that.
I'm going to subscribe to your journal. Let me know if you want me to grant you access as my journal is mostly locked.

As for authors, I've enjoyed Mary Blough in the past, but haven't read any recently. Lately, I've just been getting a lot of the amazon freebies (I think Bree Wolfe has been my favorite there). And I've picked up entirely too many Pride and Prejudice variations -- even when they are terrible.
How about you?

Alright, *cracks knuckles* Some really good authors are..
Julia Quinn (Her Bridgerton Series)
Lauren Willig (Pink Carnation series, it's regency spies and hijinks, really awesome)
Anything my Courtney Milan (though it really is more Victorian, but really awesome victorian-- like love love love her)
Eloise James has a great series of Regency inspired fairy tales (her take on Rapunzel is my personal favorite since the hero is so cranky)
And if you like Victorian and you also like f/f. Sarah Waters is really good!~
Okay sorry, I got carried away there *sheepish*

Not a big fandom person, I have my interests in a few, but I don't really talk about them unless I'm trying to find the technical aspects of it in terms of writing/production.
I like to write about everyday things and try to see if I can make it readable. Most of the time, it's about whatever hobby I'm trying to learn/obsess over until I figure it out properly. If that's okay with you, I'd be cool with connecting, at the least to encourage myself to hit that "Reading" page on my journal page and try to strike up a comment, at the least.

Not sure if you remember me, I used to go by Lena/capeofstorm on LJ and we were both in HiH a few years ago. I was wonderign if you wanted to reconnect?

I do remember that name from HiH, and would definitely be interested in reconnecting.
