Looking for friends
NAME: Michael
AGE:45
INTERESTS & HOBBIES: Collecting Vinyl, Playing music, photography, DIY art & crafts
ANYTHING ELSE?:
I've officially changed over to DW from LJ, so I'm looking for people to add and get to know a bit.
About Me: I'm 45 and live a very DIY lifestyle. I grew up in the 80s post-punk scene and I've held those ideals and the subculture close to my heart for over 30 years. I enjoy listening to punk rock & post-punk (goth) on vinyl while drinking my morning coffee and I tend to avoid government-controlled media. I am a practicing Buddhist with very left politics. I have no desire to fight or argue with people from behind a screen, I only mention it because it's relevant to people getting along these days.
I have always used my journal as a place to vent or rant, often about work or just about life in general. I am not all about sunshine and butterflies, and sometimes my rants do focus of the bad shit instead of a balance of good and bad. With that said, I hope to be far more positive as I interact with others who bring about positivity. I am a single parent and often post about my kid.

[i'm a 30-something high school teacher who also uses her journal to talk about life in general, though, admittedly my journal does tend to focus on the negative, rather than the positive -- something i'd like to change in 2019.]
friends?

I'm a thirtysomething teacher and a mother of two. I post mostly about my daily life, with some meme and book or TV show review to mix things up. I quite often post pics, because I love photography even though I'm very much an amateur.
I usually post at least once a week, though now that I am on maternity leave post more often than that.
I'm going to subscribe to your journal. Let me know if you want me to grant you access as my journal is mostly locked.

I know those words are rarely used in tandem without sounding sarcastic these days, but I'm seriously being sincere.
I used to do concert photography and I always appreciated the punk scene for being the more authentic/willing to shrug the small crap group of folks for the most part, so kudos for keeping with it.
I appreciate folks who use their blog to vent and post about real life: I use mine just to archive my life and try to talk about my life without it sounding boring. I also obsess over hobbies, so you'll more likely than not see a string of posts about some project or another (usually cooking these days though atm I've got to brainstorm some roleplaying things, so I'll probably be working around that).
If that's cool with you, I'd be happy to connect.
