I'm small d deaf (have hearing loss, started learning ISL but am not part of Deaf community - yet) and I will be posting about what's going on in my life, mostly. Might include some fandom stuff, but that's rather rare.

I'm Rina. Would you like to give it a try? I must admit, I am a huge fan of anything related to sewing (and crochet... and knitting... and embroidery... and weaving... and... :D) but the only stuff I've ever sewn (?) myself thus far was a tutu... And I did some mending on clothes with thread and needle, but does that count? I would love to learn more about this, though. ALSO, tarot is a big topic for me. :) Of course, the person behind these hobbies is also important, you and your description sound awesome to me ^^.

Hi Rina! Absolutely, let's! I'd love to learn embroidery, it looks absolutely fantastic - something to try after I feel a bit more comfortable with sewing. And mending clothes absolutely counts! It's one of the reasons why I want to become better at it - that and altering my stuff so it fits properly. Do far I've only made a bag, a pillowcase and a sunglasses case and altered a few shirts, a tutu sounds like an awesome project to start with!

It sounds like we have some interests in common. I post a lot of F&SF and queerlit, some nature, gaming, crafts whatever else catches my eye.

Sewing: hand or machine? I have done both, but never have the patience to mess with a machine, so I work by hand instead.

I mostly do machine sewing, not very good at hand sewing. Took some classes in machine sewing and enjoyed it so far!

Go you! I learned machine sewing from relatives and in Home Economics. I just have an anti-knack for technology that makes it unfeasible.
