Have a lovely day!

Berlin was very cool. My parents, who both speak fluent German (learned in school) and have emotional attachments to Germany took me, and wow the museums and the buildings and things. This was about twelve years ago, I think. My mother has a couple of friends living in Germany and we visited them.

I've personally never been to the US but I'd love to visit one day and look at the national parks and big cities. :) Anything you'd recommend to visit over there?
Yeah the orange man is something else :( But at least his running time won't be forever. That's pretty cool that your parents both speak fluent German.

I'm working on a pair of wings based on the reaper wings from TWEWY
I'm also working on SCA garb for my partner. They are looking to get back into it after not being there since like junior high? I think and they have obviously grown since then lol. So there I am working on a early kirdle, overdress and probably a headdress for them. Around the 1460-1500 time. I am just finishing up kirtle now and it should be done like Tomorrow evening? If I can get them to hang out long enough to hem it that is lol

god everything you do sounds so exciting :D
What's SCA? And what's a kirdle? Sorry I'm asking so many questions. Fashion-related words are pretty scarce in my vocabulary ^^

It is for daily wearing or I guess as daily as I feel like it. I don't really plan for events ever lol The most I plan for a con is like a cosplay of some sort but I haven't been to a con in a few years now.
A pair of stays is like a early version of the corset. Sometimes the words are used interchangeably when talking about victorian times but the word corset didn't come into use till then so is mainly not used for anything predating around 1800.
The main difference is shape and material. They mainly gave like the 1700s more elongated shape than the Victorians hourglass shape is a kinda simple explanation.
The SCA stands for Society for Creative Anachronism. It's a lot of re enactment medival skill sharing etc.
A kirtle was a garment worn around that time. Later medival period. In some spaces like at home or informally they were worn by themselves but are usually more structured to provide breast support and a small amount of shaping and were kinda like the beginnings of structured shapewear around that time. The one I am making is a earlier one and doesn't provide as much shaping as the later ones which eventually lead to something called a pair of bodies (A pair of bodies is basically a early stay/corset as well I think they were sometimes called stays later so while I am unsure I think they led into them.)
So In short its just a dress with a kinda structured bodice that was worn differently (either by itself or with an overdress) depending on situation. This is all a little simplified but otherwise I would be here all day lol
