'ello! My name is Rachel and since I'm new to this shiny server, I need friends. Currently I'm a graduate student (my MA'll be for English Literature) who's desperately trying to survive the end of the semester. I adore books, books, books, and more books. Seriously, you should see my B&N account. I spend more on books than I do for clothes and food, and it's really quite worrisome. I adore Victorian Literature and have a fascination for 19th century England as a whole, but I have a broad range of other literary interests and would love to meet people who like reading as much as I do! Besides books, I like the beach in the winter/fall, metropolitan skylines, green tea, Philadelphia sushi rolls, Coach bags, wasting time online, and chocolate soufflé. I enjoy exercising, particularly long walks and cardio. I also adore vampire fiction and I'm hooked on HBO's True Blood as well as the Sookie Stackhouse book series. I'm very chatty and outgoing, and rarely make posts of the emo variety. I've been told I act like a princess, which I hope won't annoy my future friends too much, haha.

You seem awesome - Love your taste in books (I'm a huge Gothic lit fan). And I can sympathize with your case of bibliophilia. I ran out of shelf space and have had to resort to piling my books next to the bed, which is very inconvenient in the morning when I stumble over them.

I love books. Not just to read then but to look at them, sit among them (Sometimes I pop into a bookstore just to be around books. It is very relaxing.)and smell them.

I have not been reading that many books this year. I keep buying them, but then I rarely get around reading them. I hope to be inspired by other readers to start reading again. So, adding you! :)
