Interests and hobbies: I love writing. I sometimes write original fiction. Mostly though I write Sims stories. Which they are still original fiction, really. Just they are illustrated with pics from the game and they sometimes use game elements as plot points. ;)

I like to research things like developmental theories and psychology and sociology and whatever I need for my stories. I am interested in politics, although I don't think I mean the same thing as people generally mean when they use that word, and I've been avoiding the news for a good few months now for some reason. I can't imagine why. ;)

I think...like I don't mean cheering for my team or caring about cable news when I say "politics". I mean, like...just caring a lot about how we treat each other and how we design the systems that we live by.

I like to take pictures of things I see while out and about. I love other people's photography too, and I've found myself following a lot of blogs on Tumblr that post pics of brutalist architecture and Americana stuff and just random pics of every day things, if that tells you anything about my tastes.

I LOVE cats. I live with a lot of cats, all adopted from rescue groups or found abandoned in our backyard and brought in to live with us.

I also play games other than Sims, like World of Warcraft. The spousal person and I are in a raiding guild that we like pretty well right now.

Looking for: I am looking for new friends and new readers. :) I had pretty bad anxiety on LJ because of some things in the Sims community, but I feel like DW is a fresh start and like I'll be able to actually interact without the anxiety getting in the way so much here.

Anything else? I am very open and I have a tendency to show my bloody beating heart to everyone in public posts, although I am trying to learn about the magic of filtering and locking. ;) I post about trauma and abuse and mental health issues sometimes, and I can get pretty passionate about injustice and things like that. But like I said, I am learning about the magic of filtering, and maybe if you're not into all my posts we could work something out with filters.

Also I imported my LJ, which has entries going all the way back to 2009, and please don't judge me too hard by the older stuff.  I am always growing and learning. :)

I pick up the new versions of the game as soon as they come out, and then I lose interest as I get expansion packs, lol. I think that's the opposite of most people in the community. I love the smell of a fresh new base game.

I very very occasionally go on a binge of just playing. Mostly I take screenshots for my stories.
