ANYTHING ELSE?: I'm going through some major life-changes right now and most of my writing of late is centered around failed relationships. I try to comment often and enjoy talking back and forth. I update at least once a week. I am a Christian, however I do respect your right to believe as you wish and ask for the same respect in turn. :)

I'm trying to get back into dev work, or IT. Most of what I know how to do is VB.NET, C/C++, and C# through Monodevelop. A lot of places around here want a Bachelor's or a sizable portfolio and I have neither, so it looks like some small projects are in my future.

I'm actually working towards a degree right now in the same field. :P I do not know C but know Python and Perl. I'll be learning C# in class.

Most of the job listings around here want C#, Python or Ruby, so Python is on my short list of languages I need to learn.

I know this sounds privileged -- but I don't really want just any job after I graduate. I hope to find work that will let me service people, be challenging, and not prevent me from working on small open-source projects. So I'm unsure if I will be seeking a job in my area after completing my degree. Time will tell.

I comment most of the time, but only post once or twice a week so I do miss some posts. I see we have a few things in common, apart from the fact I'm twice your age, but I am very young at heart, I promise :) My journal is mostly fluffy...grandchildren, travelling, garden, life in general and occasional politics. I am not a Christian but I believe in Christian ideas and promote them as much as I can. A faithless Christian wouldn't be too far off the mark. :)
