INTERESTS & HOBBIES: I'm an oldbie from LJ (circa 2002??) and I've been kicking around all this time. I like cooking, gardening, writing, roleplaying, photography, cats, travel, video games, tea and coffee, history and mythology. Most of my fandom interests are listed on my profile page. I'm currently unemployed and trying desperately not to be, college-student-on-hold, pretty mundane life online and off. I moderate a couple of communities here on Dreamwidth, so I occasionally talk about those.

LOOKING FOR: People who update regularly! I like reading about other people's lives, hobbies, etc, and really enjoy reading people's thoughts about their various fandoms, meta, recs, that sort of thing.

ANYTHING ELSE?: I do try to comment on most entries, and I also like when people comment back... it's not a requirement or anything, but I enjoy it being able to talk back and forth. I'm trying to make it a habit to update my journal around 1-2 times a week.

My journal is friends-only, but I'll add pretty much anyone so long as we share some kind of interests.

Great! I was so disappointed to find that people in general had gotten out of the journaling habit, but once I started updating regularly again, I realized how much I missed it. :)

Yeah it definitely used to be a lot more active, but i still like it! I've taken a few long breaks but I always end up coming back to it! It's nice to get all my thoughts out, and making online friends is anyways nice!

It really is. Especially since I always feel like time is flying by anymore, this seems to be a bit of an anchor.

Hi! Anything in particular you like to photograph? I'm fond of architecture myself, especially old or abandoned buildings.

Lately I've been into gravestones. I also like to shoot my animals, except that my dog has apparently had enough of that and turns tail and runs every time the camera comes out. Poor stupid dog. I need to take some pictures of my cats. We just got them a month ago, and I haven't gone on any serious photo taking adventures with them.

Ohh, I hear you shouldn't shoot animals, they get cranky ;)

I'm lucky when it comes to picture taking with my cat, he's too lazy to get up and relocate!

My cats have not yet aged into laziness. They are always moving around. When we adopted them we were told the family who tried to adopt them before us returned them because "Aaron is too active." Which while he's not too active he is pretty active for a cat. Especially for a fat cat. Whatever. Their loss, my win!

What a lousy reason to return a pet, oh man ;~; I'm glad kitty found a home with you. Destructive is one thing, but "too active"? Jeez.

I know. Fortunately, they aren't destructive. The only thing they've destroyed is a wicker laundry hamper, which in fairness to the cats looks an awful lot like a scratching post. I tried to leave cardboard boxes in their room with them because my last cat liked to dig his nails into them, but so far they've shown no interest in the boxes. :(

Cats. The more you think you know them, pfft!

Interested in friending? We've got Leverage and Young Justice in common (MCU too but I'm more of a casual fan). And I'm planning on finding the time to marathon Avatar: TLA/LOK, Gargoyles, and Teen Titans.

I post pretty regularly about the stuff I'm reading/watching (those are public posts) and I've got access-locked posts about daily life stuff.

oh my gosh! you're on plurk!!! eek! i'm not on there anymore but i was an early adopter so seeing someone who's still over there is pretty neat. ^^

i *also* plan on updating once or twice a week AT LEAST. i just came back to dreamwidth after going through some major life things (you can read about that in my journal) and i'm looking to rebuild my circle of friends.
