New DW-er looking for friends
Hello
addme! I'm Lucy and I have no idea what to write here as an introductory post. I figured the best thing to do would be hit the 'post an entry' button and jump in with both feet first, hoping for a good outcome!
You're probably wondering who the hell I am. Well, as I already said (but will repeat for the memory-deficient), my name is Lucy. I am a 30-something submissive bisexual polyamorous schizophrenic with ADHD & bipolar. I love rock music, mythology, board games and shopping!
I'm not really sure what my posts are going to be about but I'm very much interested in finding out who I am outside of my diagnoses. For too long I've been "Lucy the Schizo" and I want to find out who "Lucy the Person" is. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I'm not intending on making posts about my illnesses but I want to put it out there because they are a huge part of what makes me who I am.
Lets see, what else is there?
I love angels, and Christian mythology in general but definitely angels - in the roles of protectors, messengers and warriors. This is probably my main interest right now... and definitely ties in with my current favourite TV show Lucifer - and yes, that's where the Morningstar portion of my username comes from. I was, however, named for Lucy from the Chronicles Of Narnia.
Most of my TV/movie love tends to be in the sci-fi/urban fantasy genres: Buffy, Doctor Who, Farscape, Harry Potter, iZombie, Marvel, Sanctuary, Star Trek, Star Wars, Stargate, Supernatural, The X-Files etc. And a lot of these have trigger interests in astrology, cryptozoology, magick, the paranormal, physics, space - I'm fascinated by aliens, Bigfoot, ghosts, the Loch Ness Monster, ufos, unicorns, vampires, werewolves, yeti, zombies et al
I'm very much a list-maker and alphabetiser. I tend to attribute that to having a barely existent attention span. Little organisation tips help me stay on track and are a really good excuse for buying far too many fun stationery items!
Having said that, I can lose myself in a game of Tetris or Solitaire for hours
There's plenty more I could say but I don't want to keep going and bore you. I have a bunch of interests listed in my profile if you feel so inclined to check them out... and go on, add me while you're there?
