My name is Becca, and I'm in my mid-twenties. I'm a former LJ/DWer, but I've been on tumblr for the past few years. I'm still active over there, but I'm looking to get back into long-form journaling with a new journal. I'm currently working as a litigation paralegal, but I'm trying to go back to school to get a Ph.D. in my true passion, linguistics. I'm in the post-application, pre-hearing back limbo, and it's awful.

I'm a huge dog person, and have a monster of a lazy-ass rescue greyhound named Lincoln, who I would take with me everywhere if I could. I also would want like, three more. It's a problem.

I'm an avid knitter, and always have approximately five projects going at any given time. I spin and crochet occasionally. I also love fountain pens.

I also can't lie--I'm huge into fandom as well, especially Marvel (MCU--including the TV shows, both network and Netflix) and 616 to a lesser extent), The 100, Harry Potter, Orphan Black, Star Wars (I'm just getting into the EU), Doctor Who, etc. (my tumblr is here, which is probably the best way to explain what I'm into). Sometimes I write fanfic, but mostly I just come up with ideas and cry about how I'll never write them.

Foreseeably, I will probably blog mostly about my life and experiences, with fandom thrown in. I would prefer that you're over 18, not because my entries are particularly salacious, but just simply given my own age. I'm just looking for some friendly bloggers to share life experiences with and just chat about whatever. :)

I've had an amateur interest in linguistics for a long time, and have recently (and foolishly) fallen into the Duolingo trap, taking up eight languages. I like the connections between different families... You can map the transitions :)

Oo, what did you start working on?

Something really simple for now, after a long break. Just have to knit eight squares and sew them together. Can do this. Getting started was a bit funny, though. I'd made the first stitch and then I had a total blackout. Sat there staring at the needles a long while before I finally remembered how to cast on. xD

Hey, we seem to have a lot in common! I, too, have a rescue dog (although she's an Australian cattle dog/corgi mix). In addition, I also knit and crochet.

I can't say that I'm deep into fandom; however, I have had a huge crush on Nightcrawler since I was fourteen. So, I guess that's something.

Awww, she sounds like a sweetie. Last Aussie cattle dog mix I met literally lauched herself into my lap and started licking my face within five seconds. What's your's name?
