This ain't no truth or dare
I'm pretty standoffish these days, but it'd be nice to meet a couple new peeps.
NAME: Baroness
AGE: An adult
INTERESTS & HOBBIES: Hmm. Automobiles, aviation, astronomy, space exploration, computers & technology, how things work, fashion (sometimes), anime, cartoons, comic books, history (particularly WWII), billiards, movies older than me, illustration, stuffed animals, vinyl records
Anime: pretty much anything Gundam and anything sci-fi. Favorites are Mobile Suit Gundam Wing, Mobile Fighter G Gundam, The Big O, Mobile Suit Gundam 0079, Kill la Kill, Noir, Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water . . . there's probably more, but my mental pistons are not firing at 100% today. That's what happens when you put regular unleaded in an engine that takes mid-grade. *snerk*
Comics: Formerly a big DC fan. I still dig the Dark Knight, but I mostly read indie stuff these days. Anything by Mike Turner (especially Fathom), anything Bruce Timm, Red Sonja, Lady Death, Vampirella, Miss Fury
For movies, I like old Hollywood (generally anything before 1970), anything WWII themed, and old vampire flicks. I like the Marvel Cinematic Universe (DC tries, you gotta give 'em that), action flicks, futuristic and apocalyptic type stuff. Also old Disney. Like, really old. As in, Walt himself worked on it.
I read mostly nonfiction books these days.
Not much of a gamer, but I like the Gran Turismo, Forza, Burnout, Need for Speed and Wolfenstein series. (You are seeing a pattern . . . )
LOOKING FOR: My journal is more of the personal journal variety, so I would prefer to read similar journals. We don't have to have anything in common. I'm not into fandom anymore; I enjoyed my fandom heyday in the late 1990s and early-to-mid 2000s (yeah, I've been around the Internet block; kinda ashamed to admit that). I tend to skip over 18+ content.
ANYTHING ELSE?: I was born in Düsseldorf, and that is why they call me Rolf.
My journal is mostly kind of snooze-inducing in my opinion, but opinions vary. I try not to get too in-depth because I like maintaining a sliver of anonymity. I try to reply to every comment I receive and to comment very often on my friends' entries. It's fine if you don't comment back to me very often.
