looking to make new connections

Hello out there! I'm not new to the journal scene and actually enjoy saving all those old entries. I look back and see how far I've progressed and grown. It's amazing, really.

Who I am:
I'm a 25 year old graphic designer who lives in the city but plays in the country side. I have a deep affinity for nature, specifically the ocean and the mountains. You could also find me gazing at a multitude of space images (I secretly want to curl up inside a nebula. They look so warm and inviting!). Two cats, want a dog, love the boyfriend, and all that fancy stuff. Raised Christian but am now a mix-n-match of ideas; friends typically say I'm akin to a Buddhist Pagan. I love all art forms and can be found painting, playing piano or flute, and making humble attempts at writing. Most importantly, I travel - a lot - not just to experience another country or state, but to really dig deep into who I am, where I'm going, and where I think I'd like to be.

Who I'm looking for:
I'm really looking for people who go beyond the fandoms and the "this is what I did today" sort of entries. I don't mind knowing what you did, but it's nice to know how it impacted you. Really getting to know someone is the core reason I reach out to find new journal-mates, and it's the ones who tear down their walls and reveal every layer that I tend to resonate with the most. If you're inquisitive, thoughtful, artsy, a nature-lover, a reader, or ramble about travel, then we'll probably get along quite well. :)

What I'm not looking for:
Stated this already, but I don't want fandoms or posts just to post. Thoughts, ideas, sparks... go beyond the typical journal entry. I'm also not one for abrasiveness; sharing ideas is a wonderful aspect of a connected journal community, but being rude for the sake of being rude isn't my cup of tea.

If you think we'd get along, feel free to subscribe to me. My entries are all locked, but there is an introductory page if you'd like to read a little more about me (along with some photos - I love taking pictures!). I hope to get to know some of you, and the same in return for you!

I think we'd be pretty good friends. I love photography too. My journal's kinda new so there are not any thought provoking entries yet, but it is/will be more than a what-I-did-today journal, I promise. Adding you:)

my journal is mostly a creative journal & I don't always write much but it's a lot deeper than "I did this, she said that" here. that kind of blog I have over on LJ. anyway I'm going to add you. :)

Do you mind if I add you? What you said about wanting to read entries about how things impact you is exactly how I feel about journals. Those are usually the kind of entries I post. I have lost a few "friends" over it who were kind of shallow so it's really nice to see someone who isn't like that. I also don't believe in being rude for no apparent reason.

Your journal sounds like it'll be an interesting read - mind if I add?

I don't write fandoms, nor do I write continual snark. I feel common courtesy and common sense are going by way of the do-do bird. I'm a practicing Wiccan with Shaman and Hindu leanings. In other words, I go where where my path guides me. :)

You sound intriguing and I'd like to subscribe to your journal.
