My life with diabetes
Hello everyone - I posted here when I first joined DW a while ago. But having only just worked out what I'll be using my journal for...
I'm Sam, 21 years old, fresh out of uni, unemployed field archaeologist.
And I have Type 1 diabetes
My blog is basically my day to day dealings with the condition, detailing how it affects every day life, blood sugar levels, insulin, my diagnosis almost 14 years ago and how its affected me, the ways in which many of the public percieve this condition, moaning about the lack of decent healthcare. You name it, its likely to be there. All of my diabetes related posts are available to be read publically, but occaasionally I may feel like a good ole rant or real life post, and these will be access locked - if you want to read them please leave a comment on my friends only (partly) post.
If you want to know more about type 1 diabetes, want to read about a young woman struggling with it whilst stepping into the real world for the first time then please, feel free to add me. I hope I can help people understand what its like to have this condition, and if anyone has any questions or anything then I'll do my best to answer :)
