looking for long-term journalers.
Hi, there. I'm Iris, and I decided it's about time to make some new friends on my journal.
Some things about me?
-25 year old, born in Canada and now in the USA (Portland, OR).
-Gamer, anime watcher, general nerd.
-Naturalist.
-Have entirely changed my life from being overweight and sedentary to eating healthy and minimalist running.
-Starting a new job in January I hope to keep for a long time, if not make into a career.
-Life-long learner always on the path of improving herself.
-Previous pessimist now turned positive realist. I am looking for other positive people! (With that, I'd like to note that SJWs are ridiculous and if you are one, we likely won't get along.)
Here's some things you should know about my journal and how I treat it:
-Please do not add me if you are under 21.
-I am looking for long-term journal friends. Please, do not ask to be my friend if you are unsure if you will be able to stick to your journal. I've no problem with a once-a-week or every-few-weeks posting speed or so, but don't disappear. If you're fairly new to DW, I may not add you. When I make journal friends, I keep them for years.
-I journal about five times a week, and comment on every single entry on my friends' list (unless I can think of nothing to say, which is very rare). I expect comments from you occasionally.
-I post regularly, but my entries have quite a bit in them. I am not a fan of really short journal entries. They're hard to relate to.
-I am looking to get to know people for who they are. I am not interested in fandom journals. It's cool if you talk about what tv shows you watch, but I don't want to see fanfic or long discussions about that show.
-It helps to have a few interests in common, but it's not a requirement.
To learn more about me, please read my profile and friending page. These have the basics about me and more detail on how I treat my journal. If you are interested in friending me, drop a comment on my friending page!
