INTERESTS & HOBBIES: I usually lots of times watching TV Shows such as: Doctor Who, Supernatural, Criminal Minds, House MD, Chicago Fire, My Little Pony, etc. I also watch animes and mangas like: Death Note, NANA, Fruits Basket, Naruto, Are you Alice? Sekaiichi Hatsukoi, etc. I like reading, listening to music, cheese (lots of cheese), fashion, drawing, art, flowers and animals.

OK, that convinced me. I need to get an idea of what's contemporary in psychology - all my textbooks are (ahem) twenty to thirty years old. :)

heheh nice! :P I do read new stuff all the time so, you may be satisfied? But classic psychology is always important right?

Yeah, most of the classics are important and will remain so as knowledge improves. I come from a mainly developmental perspective, so names like Piaget, Kohlberg, Vygotsky and bread-and-butter to me (but I don't care for Erikson).

I can also grok the more sociologically orientated aspects of Freud, but only when reconstructed away from their biological pretensions into a linguistically mediated presentation.

I agree with you! I love Vygotsky it was the first theory I studied I truthfully identified and I'm very into Bowbly and his Attachment theory nowadays too. I tend to go to more sociological theories...
