INTERESTS & HOBBIES: I read and write too damned much. I'm going for a PhD in Literary Studies. For pleasure I read science fiction (I like me some dystopian narratives). Professionally, I read 18th-century British Literature, media theory, and the history of writing technologies. (P.S. -- Grammar and syntax make me jizz in my pants.) Professionally related, I also like to tinker around with coding.

When I'm not slaving away at my studies or teaching responsibilities, I enjoy knitting, crocheting, yoga, making to-do lists, binge watching TV shows, playing the occasional video game/board game, and cooking.

I have fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome, among other odd and less heard of health conditions. I have to do a lot for self care/recovery.

You sound very interesting and we have several interests in common (reading, grammar, Adventure Time, dystopias, tea, etc.) I mostly blog about my day-to-day life teaching ESL in South Korea rather than fannish stuff but I have lots of geeky obsessions.

Sometimes I get about a week behind in my Flist so my comments aren't always timely. That's part of why I'm trying to make more friends on here, to remind myself to check more flist more regularly.

I definitely am adding you back! Had I not gone to graduate school I would have taught ESL abroad. I'm glad to find another member who isn't really into fannish writing!
