Hello! Recently came back to Dreamwidth after a hot minute (though I've been around on and off the last couple of years mostly because of DWRP). Hoping to meet new folks and make connections.
Name: Noey
Age: 39 (I turn 40 this year wiw)
I mostly post about: Slice-of-life shenanigans, writing, reflections on anything from dreams I had this week, mental health, ruminations on anything under the sun. My voidling cat, my dog, occasional to-do lists. Poetry, my own projects. Photos.
My hobbies are: Writing, amateur photography, dance, books! I'm also an avid gamer although I don't get to game as much as I'd like given how busy life has been of late. Oh, and I recently got back into physical journaling because I have so many stickers and having something tactile helps.
My fandoms are: I have... a lot. Top of mind are -- Arcanethis is going to be a thing for awhile, Pacific Rim, Marvel, Doctor Who. Youtube DIY Interior Design (not sure if it counts but ah well). I like a lot of things, basically.
I'm looking to meet people who: Just people who might be interested to build connections. I used to journal extensively on LJ and then here, post-great migration to other platforms. I miss that kind of community and just meeting new people. I'm also redefining my relationship with social media because the always-on 24/7/365 thing is just... no.
My posting schedule tends to be: I think it's safe to say that I'm likely to post at least once a week, possibly everyday, maybe even more than once. My longform babble goes on Dreamwidth, CliffsNotes go to my physical planner. So expect to see me pop up on your reading page a fair amount.
When I add people, my dealbreakers are: I'm at the age where I'm just tired and have few ducks left to give. So the usuals: drama, doomscrolling, extremes from either end.
Before adding me, you should know:I'm Filipina and I speak 2 other languages outside of English. Sometimes, I may reply in multilingual fashion in the comments to friends of mine who are also on the platform. I am, however, always happy to translate, just ask! I'm bi/queer in a straight-presenting relationship. I've encountered folks who've taken issue with that, from either end. I know it might be weird of me to bring this up now, but I've found it helpful to my sanity to just be upfront. I write reflections on mental health quite a bit. I was diagnosed with C-PTSD a little over 5 years ago and while I've made loads of progress, a mental health journey is an ongoing thing. Rest assured that I utilize cuts on my posts and include content warnings to those who want to skip over that. I observe friending amnesty i.e. if you add me and decide that I'm not your cup of tea, all good, thank you for stopping by and giving connecting a shot.
