I mostly post about: I don't know yet. I started this because I have a hard time getting myself to write in my physical journal (it's time consuming and I write slow), and typing a journal only seems to stick in my mind and help me parse out my thoughts if it involves interaction with others... ages ago I used livejournal, and for a while, greatestjournal (RIP in peace). And so with that in mind, I suspect I'll just write about life, and creative ideas I have per writing fiction, and spirituality (i'm eclectic), and maybe baseball, and parenting, and occasionally politics (I'm an anti-capitalist/socialist). And I'll probably try and use the journal here to basically try and organize my thoughts and improve myself as a person - my goal in life is to exude loving-kindness toward all beings. I try and hold my opinions with a soft grip, fully aware that I'm certainly wrong in some areas (and hoping to correct myself where I'm wrong). I anticipate posting here frequently.
My hobbies are: Fiction writing, essay writing, reading, meditation, hanging out with my son, practicing spirituality, my specific fandoms, and i'm starting to watch films more recently.
My fandoms are: Doctor Who, Star Wars, Star Trek, Dune. I get hyper-fixated on one at any given time for a few months and can't really focus on my other fandoms until I get fixated on them, trying to causes actual discomfort haha. So for example I love Star Trek, but still haven't seen season 2 of "Strange New Worlds" because my fixation on Trek hasn't come around since it aired. Such is life!
I'm looking to meet people who: Are interested and willing to interact. I believe strongly in loving-kindness and infinite diversity in infinite combinations, and so would be happy to befriend most people. It might be better if you're super turned off by my being a socialist or something not to add me just because for some people politics is a tension point, but if that doesn't bother you I'm happy to be friends. I would prefer to be friends with people 30 or older on here, but if you're at least like 21 and you feel like "hey I'd really like to be pals with this person!" honestly, that's fine too.
My posting schedule tends to be: I don't know yet, but at least a few times a week, hopefully at least once a day. Years ago when I used other journal sites I think I posted about that much, I suspect this would be the same.
When I add people, my dealbreakers are: If you post erotica or NSFW pics or something, no offense, I'm just here to make friends and journal and I just don't want that stuff on the friends page. Or like if you're looking for a partner, I already have one and am happy so that's a no-go. But if you don't do that stuff and are at least 21 and aren't a literal fascist everything's probably good.
Before adding me, you should know: What my dealbreakers listed above are, I guess? And I don't want to argue politics on here ever... like I'm fine being friends with people I disagree with, I just don't want to get into it on politics with people, it's too stressful. I'm spiritual but totally respect people's beliefs or lack thereof and would never try to "convert", and the most simplest way to describe my spirituality is "we're all one unified consciousness appearing, in illusion, in different forms". Basically Advaita Vedanta (a school of thought in Hinduism).
