Hey there everynyan my name's Mintleaf (actually I have a few names because I like having a lot of names, but that's the one I'm using rn), pronouns it/they/she, I'm in my 30s and I'm interested in having more people on this blog webbed site
I've been a very casual writer for most of my life and occasionally I manage to get something into a state where I can post it online, but mostly I just poke at drafts and never finish anything 😅 but sometimes I end up posting part of a draft before abandoning it so uhhh look forward to that ig
I also recently started doing art and I am very enjoying that and this is why the majority of my blog posts lately are just me posting a thing I drew, it's pretty great.
When I'm not posting about a thing I made, I'm participating in memes and occasionally grumping about hostility in fandom (this hostility is why I'm not "in fandom" really, even though I like a lot of things)
Speaking of fandom, and liking things, I'm currently super into Palia and I've been replaying Tales of Symphonia (I haven't managed to get into the rest of the Tales series yet, despite occasional attempts, but I probably will eventually). I also participate in what I call the "Cookie Run OC fandom" (and probably nobody else calls it that), in which I appreciate the OCs people make for this game while completely ignoring the game itself after its farmville mechanics got me for a few hundred dollars and I was like "wait this gameplay isn't fun". (Yes I said the farmville mechanics; I'm apparently immune to the temptation of gacha, but not other temptations.) As for things that aren't video games, I like Miraculous Ladybug and... uh, I think that's the only one. I used to be really into RWBY and I still think it's vaguely cool but I haven't been actually watching that since season 7 or something and I don't know when or if I'll continue. And I was constantly low-key into Kingdom Hearts for a very long time but I think KH3 might have broken something there but we'll see if it comes back.
I like making new characters in general, I don't talk about that much here but maybe I should. Relatedly, I'm into casual roleplay with the characters I make (currently I do this mostly on Discord; I prefer forums but it seems other people largely don't so I have maybe two forum threads going at a time which takes what, ten minutes a day to keep up with?)
I'm looking mainly to add people who talk about the things they like. Cat pictures are also a plus. (I don't have a cat yet myself, but when I get one you can expect cat pictures.) I don't actually comment on people's blog posts as much as I'd like to but let's see if I manage to adjust that.
My own posting schedule used to be extremely sporadic but then I got into drawing and now I have something new to share every few days. Maybe this will get me into the more general habit of posting on this blog, or maybe I'll just keep posting only a new picture every so often. I also post whenever I have a new piece of writing, but that's a lot less frequent because it's harder to do all in one go.
You should know: I'm trans of gender, though I don't really talk about that much... at all lmao. Also plural, but the headmates don't seem super interested in talking here on Dreamwidth so  If they ever do post, it'll be marked in various methods, idk it doesn't happen enough for us to remember a method for it.
Dealbreakers: Alt-right stuff, being too invested in shipping discourse (my stance on all shipping discourse is "it doesn't matter if other people are writing stuff I don't like, because I can simply choose not to read it"), and some obscure bad takes that I've never actually seen on this website ever so maybe hopefully they're a moot point. (Social media has been bad for my health, let's just say that.)
