I mostly post about:Started on LiveJournal almost 20 years ago, been kind of slow updating, trying to get myself to update more often. Lately, I've been mostly posting abuse survivor stuff, trying to come to terms with what I grew up with, and the relationships that followed. *edit* more recently, I've been posting mostly about my hobbies, some about my work (pharmacy tech).

My hobbies are:Writing - I have one novel self-published, co-authored with my wife. Trying to finish up any number of my own projects. I tend to write urban fantasy and horror. I love ghost stories. I also play a number of instruments - my main ones right now are trombone and bass guitar, my first being euphonium or baritone (not quite the same instrument, but if you know one, you know both), and I'm trying to learn more, like saxophone and regular guitar. I also like to target shoot... never have hunted, though.

My fandoms are:I'm pretty cautious about joining fandoms and focus more on just being a fan. Too many fandoms have become quite toxic. But, I'm a fan of Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Hunger Games, Futurama, and Firefly, among others. For music, I like several genres, but I most often listen to stuff that could be considered goth rock, along with punk, metal, ska, that sort of thing. Also love swing music and jazz, along with classical. I'm fond of Dvorak's New World Symphony, I like a lot of Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, Saint Saens, and others. My two favorite bands are the Cure and Oingo Boingo.

I'm looking to meet people who:I don't know... I like knowing different kinds of people.

My posting schedule tends to be: Right now, sporadic at best. May be improving that. We'll see.

When I add people, my dealbreakers are:Bigotry and narcissism are the biggest ones that come immediately to mind. I tend to not play well with people who are either too far to the right or left, and don't like those who try to force others to follow their ideas.

Before adding me, you should know:I am unapologetically libertarian (small l - I haven't liked the direction the party's taken in the last year or so... bigotry is, indeed, irrational and repugnant). I even ran for state office as such. While most of my political posts are on my Facebook, I make no promises that I won't post about them on my journal from time to time. As much as I don't like politics - I much prefer writing or playing music - politics takes an interest in us all. Also, I am happily married with a son who died in NICU, and a living daughter.

Also possibly worth knowing - I am a Celtic pagan and have been for somewhat more than 20 years.
