About my journal
I write about really anything that pops into my head at any given time. I write about things like love, sex, books, family, food, god, my hopes and dreams and what I did today providing that it's not too painfully boring. I'm not the best commenter in the world, but I will comment if I feel I have an opinion on the post that I feel I must share. I'm Becca. I graduate from Uni this coming spring (autumn if you're in the Southern Hemisphere), and I'm currently finishing up a semester abroad in Australia. I'm studying psychology and linguistics, which, contrary to popular belief, means that I'm one of the last people who's going to be a stickler about grammar. If I could only have one type of fruit for the rest of my life, it would be avocados (two types: + strawberries), and I love a good brew pub. I love blasting classic rock while driving, my favorite season is autumn, and if I came up with one more non sequitur, you'll probably think I've lost it.

I try not to take myself too seriously because I never want to be the kind of person who can't laugh at themselves. At the end of the day, if I have one guiding principle, it's "don't be a douchebag."

My journal consists mostly of things that are happening to me in real life (i.e., my upcoming transition from student to "adult"), my musings on things that I see fit to muse about (don't ask me to get more specific than that, I couldn't even if I wanted to), and reactions to various media that I consume. I'd love some active friends to talk to. I don't necessarily need/expect comments on my entries, because you don't owe me anything and I know that sometimes there's just nothing to say, but interaction somewhere is nice (I mean, that's why we're here, right?). Also, it's not possible to tl;dr at me about anything, I love it.

New to DW and looking for new friends

Have been @ LJ since early 2004, but their recent changes and just the overall feeling, appearance etc...made me look out for some other place. I found this place, signed up and here I am. So far none of my LJ friends are over here, so my DW is pretty empty at the moment.

Moving on...

I think it's much easier to to be open with people you don't know. I was in a really bad car accident over a year ago and broke my femur bone so this past few months has been me starting over. I am a bit of a contradiction.i keep my feelings to myself but I don't bite my tongue. I am very honest, brutally honest. I don't like people who lie or people really with no common sense. i have a bit of a dark humor,but i've been told i'm funny so i guess people like it? Alot of people come to me for advice. I am a cancer so it's my nature to be nurturing. But I am a crab so if you piss me off i will bite you. i may sound scary but i'm really not lol. i am not a person that is easily offended. I know more about elephants than the average person, i LOVE them they are amazing creatures. I am a movie junkie, netflix was created for me. i watch everything except horror movies, well? i will but never by myself and whoever is watching it with me better be spending the night.! i love to read but i'm not a book worm. i love to take pictures but not of myself. (I hope to make that a serious hobby one day) i usually write about how i'm feeling. I'm kind of an undercover nerd. I write short stories mostly about sex. i love talking about sex (i love psychology and used to aspire to be a cognitive/behavioral therapist who specializes in sex therapy). Turns out the things you are sure of one day just change. I still love psychology and occasionally will read books and such but I'm no longer going to school for it anymore.
I love women and enjoy men if that bothers you then don't add me.
i'm not a religious person and respect people with there beliefs but please don't preach i don't really care.
I do genuinely take an interest in people and want to get to know people from all over the world.
oh i love the piano, it relaxes me. I can have the mouth of a sailor at times.
