Hey guys, my name is codie. I'm 23 and I live in Sydney, Australia.

I'm relatively new to DW so my journal looks quite bare at the moment, though I'm looking to rectify that as well as make some new friends. :)

I'm a medical science graduate and am currently in my second year of my second degree, starting intermediate level Japanese at the end of this month (professional student FTW). I'm looking to get into Medicine with this current degree and would love to some day become a OB/Gyn, but we'll see how that goes.

I love travelling, and hopefully will get to visit a few different countries within the next couple of years such as Scotland, Hungary, Japan and Norway. I've lived a couple of years in NZ and USA and love to experience different cultures. I love reading trashy romance novels and admittedly am a hopeless romantic. XD I love music, singing it, playing it and listening to it. My iTunes library has a whole range of music on it with the only exception being house and heavy metal.

My journal will probably have different rants/stories from uni and/or my work (medical centres have many a story to tell), as well as confusion over my undefined relationship with my online male friend and other normal, boring things a 23 year old would most likely to talk about. I love reading journal posts and comment liberally on my friends list. We don't have to have much in common, just a willingness to become friends.

INTERESTS: Being indoors constantly makes me antsy. I like being outdoors, even if that means just sitting at a local park. Bantering is a major thing for me and people that do the same. I use to do a lot of martial arts and teach as well. finding new music to stuff into my ipod, debating, testing my limits, college. The human mind will forever be intriguing to me, reading people is something I do even without being aware of it. Really, my interests are endless.
HOBBIES: Taking the pictures and procrastinating on schoolwork. More so on the second one.
LOOKING FOR: People who are open minded and have a sense of humor. Who have goals and aspirations. People who don't censor themselves. I like people to have similar interests as myself but it's not necessary. I like people who like different things, I can learn from them. Generally upbeat people, everyone has bad times but no one who sulks in them.
I'm not an epic commenter and you don't have to be either. As long as you're active and comment here and there, I shall do the same.
ANYTHING ELSE?: This journal site looks more active and hopeful than the ones I've tried. LJ is a giant AD, DJ has been quite dead for many a year and GJ was destroyed. So I'm looking forward to trying this one out.
