INTERESTS: Buffy, The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, Harry Potter, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, The X-Files, Seinfeld, Reddit, Anne Perry's William Monk series, Jane Austen, SNL, Victorian England, dreams, psychology, time travel, alternate universe theories, sunsets and sunrises, 50s/60s boy bands/other nostalgia, nostalgia in general, philosophy, The Walking Dead, Once Upon a Time, blah blah way too many to name here.
HOBBIES: I like creative writing. I rarely have time to actually do it, but that would be my main hobby. In my life outside of the internet and work, I have only a few friends I really hang out with, but they are all very close and we share many of our deepest secrets. We generally sit around watching movies or stuff on YouTube and giggling or being outraged, and sitting and holding long, meaningful conversations.
LOOKING FOR: I'm looking for people who share similar interests and who know how to write. I want friendship, so in the moments when I feel lonely I can turn on the computer and see a friendly face or paragraph. I'd prefer friends around my same age group, though not exclusively. I haven't been in high school for a while now, so if that's the only world you're familiar with, we're probably not a good match, no offense meant.

slacker1985 I posted in there religiously for years, but for personal reasons I can't bring myself to do so anymore. So I started this DW account to try and continue doing something I truly loved in a different venue.
MORE: While I am a creative writer, I generally (unless otherwise indicated) write straight from life, about my normal day-to-day activities. I will use this as I used my LJ, as a reference point, so I can go back at any time and remember something bizarre or happy or even terrible that happened to me. For this reason, I do my best to report events and feelings as exactly as possible. I write about dreams a lot, because I have frequent vivid dreams with very detailed plotlines. (And I swear I am not making them up!) I like to write about my life in a creative way, making a normal day of work sound like an action thriller, for example, but without bending the truth at all. Therefore, the people I interact with the most are listed in my profile as my "CAST OF CHARACTERS".
I'm very busy these days and don't have too much time for writing, but I'm hoping that making friends will help me to do so more frequently and keep me more disciplined in that area. I will also try to comment on your own life, as well, but remember, I am busy, so I will fall behind at times.
I have a lot of celeb/geeky crushes, so you will probably hear some girlish squeeing from time to time. My apologies. I swear a lot. I'm very much an atheist and, no, I will not be swayed. Politically I consider myself an independent with heavy liberal leanings. So...be forewarned.
I also have an amazing sense of humor (if I do say so myself) and hope to make some good friends here!
