My name is Robby. I'm a 26 year old manboy currently living in Japan and as such my journal will talk a lot about my life here. I've been over here teaching conversational English for a little over two years at this point and am overall content with how my life is going. I do plan on returning to my home (the US) ~someday~, but when exactly that will be I cannot tell you.

I am gay and in a relationship with a Japanese dude. We've been together for close to a year now and being the only thing resembling family I have on this side of the Pacific, he is extremely important to me. I won't gush about him annoyingly, I promise, but he will get many a mention on my journal as he is my partner in most of the things I do.

In my free time I study Japanese, and while I've made significant strides I would still say it's pretty wonky and full of holes. I try and supplement my learning by enjoying my Japanese fannish indulgences in their original untranslated form as much as I can (though it is sometimes impossible).

My interests include: food adventures, good wine and/or beer, manga, music, reading books, video games, looking at pretty things, worrying about the future, travel, missing having cats, Japanese/Asian culture, and being a fledgling Polaroid photographer/photo album maker. I don't watch much TV or movies anymore, but I like a good film occasionally and I still love on 30 Rock (can't wait for the next season to start!).

My journal is a mix of real life and fannish things, with real life making up the majority of the content. My DW account doesn't have much on it yet, but I've been regularly updating my LJ for about 8 years now and plan on cross posting between the two so I'm sure my journal will fill up in the coming weeks.

Anyway, this is already too long. Basically, hi! Let's be friends! I like hearing about people's lives more than fandom-y stuff, so I'm not really picky about having too many overlapping interests. I just ask you are a nice and friendly person.

PS: My username is based off an obsession I had with G-Dragon of Korean pop group Big Bang at the time I created this account a few years back, and is subject to change in the coming months. I can't decide whether I find it embarrassing or not now. D:

I earn a living as an office drone, but my heart is in music, especially the blues. I am a Christian and have a delta blues music ministry. I'm also a fiction writer. You can find my stuff out there on the Web if you google Fleeceham Chronicles.

Favourite bands/artists would be Peter Green, Steve Hillage, the Beatles, Foo Fighters, Gary Moore, Buddy Guy, Hound Dog Taylor, B B King, Muddy Waters, Johnny Winter, S R Vaughan and Jimmie Vaughan, and so on.

Favourite writers would be Spike Milligan, Tom Clancy, P G Wodehouse.

I am a friendly enough chap, post often and comment too, unless discouraged. I'm not necessarily seeking like-minded people, as long as you're friendly too.

My name is Tei, another convertee from LJ, and trying to get a few more friends.
I'm Australian and living in a small town of about 100 people in the middle of no where. I'm 28, married, and currently pregnant with our first child. I'm a pagan, and work as a midwife and a nurse. I'm very creative and artistic, I draw and paint and crossstitch and sew. I also enjoy a outdoor 'sport' known as Geocaching.

obviously people with same interests or even living in Aust, would be ideal, but I am very open minded and will give anyone a go =)
