HI!

I'm trying to be more active on DW and for that I need more FRIENDS! & things to read in general. I'd love it if anyone wants to rec active comms, too!

LOCATION: New Zealand
INTERESTS & HOBBIES: Books! Especially YA, fantasy and dystopia. I'm a baby programmer so playing around with code, learning new programming languages and just really practising takes up a lot of my time too, though I'm still very much a beginner. I love learning new languages in non programming ways, too! I'm currently playing around with Spanish. I listen to music a lot, nothing in particular but depends on my mood, lots of trashy pop music lately. I have a TV and movie to watch list a million pages long - getting there. I love people! I'm a barista but still learning, so I'm also super interested in coffee-making, coffee, & getting better at making it!
I'm also interested in politics, lgbtq issues, web and software, technology in general, classics, history, lots of things! I'm not super involved in fandoms but I've listed some things I like below :)
LOOKING FOR: Anything to read! Fandoms I'm familiar with, real life, whatever! Someone I can be genuinely friends with is what I'm really after, though. I'll add just about anyone if we have things in common, just not people I know in real life (but I bet that's unlikely!)
MY JOURNAL: Currently is mostly real life, with a sprinkling of other stuff - but we'll see! I really want people to interact and chat with so I hope I can find some new friends here :)

TV: Suits, Grey's Anatomy, Buffy, Angel, Firefly
Movies: My to-watch list is neverending. I quite like dystopia/fantasy/sci-fi but also like comedy/chick flick type things. And action. And superheroes <3
Music: Actually lately just pop music, but my tastes change a lot. I associate music strongly with particular people.
Books: Basically any YA! Also dystopia, historical fiction, fantasy, sci-fi, fiction based on current issues... I basically read everything I can though. Long time HP fan!

I haven't had coffee in two days. Now I'm going to cry. Y_Y I wish I still had the document on my computer where I was keeping track of all the bagged coffees I've ever tried. It got deleted though when my harddrive was formatted, but I was up to about 30 different kinds and I bet I'm up to 40 now.

Mmm... I think my current favorite is Private Selection's Dark Breakfast Blend. I will always love Seattle's Best Blend: French Roast though. :)

And I'm rambling. But I'm chatty when I'm happy hehe. :)

So Young Adult Fantasy? Any sort of choose your own adventure fantasy books? I have a lot of old ones that I like hehe. :) I used to read them to my doggie. :)

Yay for YA! I'm slowly trying to get into the genre since I missed out on some much when I was younger. Still working on it though heh...
