About Me: I like SF/F, cooking, messing around on the internet. Not as crafty as some of my friends, but I want to learn to sew this year. It's an ambition of mine to someday travel to Antarctica. (Among many other places, natch.) I have a geeky love for cool gadgets and neat science. Also dragons. Oh, and I heart libraries, which have always been central to my life - so much so that I actually turned into a librarian when I grew up. :) (That, and I was born with the answer-questions/find-information reflex, so it was probably inevitable.)

Looking for: I haven't spent too much time on DW over the last year or two, but I want to settle in better and make more connections with people. Right now it feels a little lonely here.

Hey I'm trying to learn to sew as well, and one of my life's goals is to get to every continent which means Australia and Antarctica are left!

Ooh, you're ahead of me. I have checked Europe and North America off my continent-list, but that's it (well...unless submerged continents count...Wikipedia tells me New Zealand is part of the continent Zealandia. Yes, I went to NZ and didn't make it down to Antarctica while I was there. I just have to go back!)

ha, yeah, I don't support the tax on people who can't do math, either. I guess I'll just have to earn the money to go. God knows how, with how much student loan debt I'm in!

I always say I'll just win the lottery using a ticket I happened to find on the ground. :) Hey, the odds of winning that way are about the same as buying a ticket.

Student loan debt, meh. It didn't seem like so much money when I was in school and paying it back was all theoretical...

Yes, exactly... I think the fact that I never saw the money helped a lot with that regard. It was just numbers on a screen I didn't pay much attention to.
