NAME: Kael (pronounced like Kyle)
AGE: 31
INTERESTS: Steampunk, technology, music, speculative fiction... I guess I'm still trying to figure out just what I do like, I've been neglecting myself for so long... More on that in the "Anything Else" section.
HOBBIES: I make icons and like to play with colors and textures. I'd love to learn how to play the drums (more than just in my own mind) but I live in an apartment and I think the neighbors would frown upon that. ;) I like to read and sometimes I write a little --post-apocalyptic setting usually, but it's not something I get into very often.
LOOKING FOR: People to connect to on some level. My life's been pretty solitary to this point, due to circumstances beyond my control. I'd like to change that if I can. I'm not big into any fandoms, so journals that center around that are probably not what I'm after, but I don't mind a little fandom here and there. We're all a fan of something, right? ;)
ANYTHING ELSE?: I'm one of a few people who share space in this brain. I know there is an 'add me' community just for Multiples and Plurals, but I don't really identify with those labels a whole lot, so I thought I'd try something a little more broad in scope, first. I'm also a male gendered person in a female body. I don't much identify with the term transgender, either, but only because I'm pretty much stuck with this body because I'm not the only one living in it. It'd be a true term to describe me, though, and it does come up as I try to find my place in the world to spite the strange situation I was born into. I should probably also mention that I'm still dealing with the fallout from a relationship that ended far before it's time. I'm trying to pull myself out of that funk, it's why I'm here, but I do tend to journal the most when I'm dealing with those demons. That's something else I'm trying to change. If any of those situations are deal-breakers, I completely understand. Like I said, I know there are more specialized friending communities out there, I just thought I'd give this a shot because I'd like to get to know people from all walks of life, not just those with similar gender issues or who are living in a Plural situation too. I'd like to meet people like that, too, but I don't want either of those things to always be the most important things we have in common. I like meeting people who can relate to my situation, but it certainly isn't necessary to friend me. I'm a friendly person and I'm looking to meet all sorts of different people, so if you think that we might have anything at all in common or there is any reason we should be on each other's friend list, go ahead and friend me. My journal's friend locked, but there's a public sticky. Just drop a line there and let me know this is how you found me. I look forward to getting to know you. :)
