My name is Abby (no it isn't) and I work with the public (this part is true). I'm practically a librarian in every way. I haven't yet obtained my MLS, and my goal is to start grad school by the fall of 2012. I am married to a man and have 2 cats. I'm a woman in my thirties. I'm an Aries. I love crafts of many kinds. I'm generally an all around awesome individual.

These are the reasons I'm nervous about blogging, but I'm not going to let that stop me.  Not much does.

1. I don't want to be one of those people that only posts about the bitchy/bad/depressing stuff. I believe that the Universe listens, and what you throw into it influences what you get out of it. Also, the kind of people who enjoy reading nothing but desolate posts about how horrid life is aren't the kinds of people with whom I wish to associate. It's so easy to fall into this trap, and I have no desire to become Emo.

2. I have a very public job. I don't want my patrons to read this blog and figure out it's me. The actual likelihood of this happening is insanely slim, but the thought is nonetheless embarrassing. This is also the reason why I've never pursued becoming a professional dominatrix, though I think I'd enjoy it, do well at it, and make a lovely amount of money. I'd hate to realize that the man who just brought in his 3 year old for storytime is the same man who paid me to spank him last Tuesday. AWKWARD.

3. What the hell do I write about anyway? I'm not a writer!

I don't precisely know what I'm looking for aside from interesting people who blog about interesting things.  If you don't think you're interesting, you're probably wrong.  Most people are fascinating in some way or another.
