Okay, so I slightly feel like I'm pimping myself on some dating site here....but that could just be me ^^'

Call me Skye!! Not my real name, but oh is it so much cooler. Here's some quick facts in rapid succession:

-I'm 17
-I'm in marching band (flute for the win!)
-I was born blowing spit-bubbles
-I shout "oh dude!" at random awesome things
-video games make me happy dance
-music makes me squeal on the inside
-books make me squeal on the outside and happy dance
-fanfiction makes me squeal on both the outside and inside while dancing like an utter fool

-I have a boyfriend, and he's amazing :)

-I'm bisexual, but also conservative at some points 0.o I know, I'm full of contradictions!

-I am WEIRD! I'm talking mix ketchup in my mashed potatoes, eat s'mores with my jelly toast, cackle as I dance in the rain, splash in puddles like my 4-year-old brother, spend entire conversations quoting only song lyrics, and outright nerd of every kind weird.

-Puppies make my voice go up an octave (so cute!!)

-I'm a night person, not a morning person. You speak to me before my coffee, I bludgeon you with the nearest heavy object.
-Writing is my life. You got a problem with it, I have a problem with you. Otherwise I'm very nice :D

And there are so many other stupidly random things about me, but that seems enough to interest some people. Yay for making friends ^.^/

Well, with the state of politicians today it's difficult to NOT dislike politics, no? xD

mixing ketchup into mashed potatoes is weird? really? See, I've always done that and thought everyone did... *scratches head* I now have the urge to poll my flist!

I only realized people consider it weird once I got to high school and noticed the expressions of the people at my table. So funny!

The flutes are right next to oboe!! (And clarinet's generally on the other side in band, behind in orchestra)

But I wouldn't be caught dead in marching band. I've HEARD that some bassoonists do that, but the reed of the oboe is a little too sensitive...

I'm a morning person and not really a night one, so this upcoming semester's Tuesdays will be interesting.

It's possible that wouldn't be a problem... *checks profile to see if you're in ET too* Aw dammit you are. ;_; Well, the main thing with me, if you want to become my friend, is that I am really a morning person.

THIS IS OKAY - I'll just keep in mind not to expect a response before maybe 9 or so. ^^

His name is Ron ^.^ Believe me, if you read my journal you'll see numerous mentions of him.

And while I am a night person, my mother is not so I'm regularly forced to be awake when I'd rather be in bed. So really don't expect post around a normal time, I'm very random XD

One of my best friends plays oboe, and switches to flute for marching band. It's rather common in bands where I'm from actually ^^'

*nod* I try not to be very random, but this is only an "attempt" at consistency.

My oboe professor is a flute minor instructor.
I can't really do it myself - where is that resistance? It's entirely different and it doesn't feel right to me, unlike bassoon which is kind of like oboe but kind of not.

Six months so far ^.^ He's absolutely fantastic!

And yeah, that's the problem most people have with the flute. You actually have to create resistance with your air. Personally I like it better, trying to play other instruments give me a headache from the pressure ^^'

Nyaw ♥ around the 9 month mark I've lost some of 'em.

Hmmm. Without the pressure I get the headaches.

Well this is my longest relationship so far ^.^

And hmmm, guess that's just the effects of switching ^^'

My longest one kind of goes on and off with the amount of work we both have. @_@ Considering education or romance, one clearly dominates over the other.

Yeah, the both of us are fairly busy, him with starting college and myself finishing high school. We manage by always hanging out on Sundays, even if it just means doing work sitting next to each other or sleeping XD

VERY busy.

We're down to random fluffy FB messages - my playing around with an undergraduate music/language school and he with a mathematical PhD program.
Interestingly enough, we're both being paid by our respective Universities for our efforts.

Also fascinating: we return to our studies on the same day: the 23rd of this month.
(He's been sleeping/reading random novels lately and I've been eating in particular an English translation of War & Peace (the one by the same lady who translated my copy of Anna Karenina!).
Knowing of my Russian studies, he lovingly found me Волка и мир last week ♥ Such a darling!)

Perhaps we should try to make more time for each other soon - both being "free". I do have an eye appointment on Monday morning so I won't be able to spend time using the computer... *types an email suggesting THE PHONE*

Wow, that just sounds busy...
And it's be good to spend more time together! I know that's the reason why Ron and I are so close ^.^
It'll be interesting once Ron starts college though, he's majoring in sound engineering :D *is proud* I know I'll be going for a writing/English degree, hoping to be a novelist.
