Trying this again
I've been on DW for a few years, but only started using it in any serious capacity after LJ's most recent security fail, so now I'd like journals to read.
My name is Miles, or Zed. I'm somewhere in my 20s, but because of reasons, I can never seem to quite remember how old (I'll either be turning 26 or 27 in about a week, but according to my mum, I'm 28 -- which I know isn't right -- so who the hell knows?). I consider myself both gay and asexual, which I know drives some people up the wall, but I really couldn't be less bothered about it, and have been with my partner for a decade and a bit.
I primarily stay at home, because of disability resulting from my own damn stupidity, where I not-so-quietly go occasionally mental with my two cats. As long as I refrain from doing something like filling the wall with crossbow bolts again, my partner doesn't seem to mind what I do, though. I promise, I don't make a habit of shooting up the place, though. Mostly, I just putz around on the interweb and write ridiculous stories, although a recent disillusionment with my fandom drug of choice has left me a bit adrift. The current object of my mocking adoration is Robert Downey Jr, for reasons I'm not entirely sure of, so expect to see occasional reference to him and his projects in my posts. Generally, fandom does take up a small portion of what I write about, though. Unless something major has happened, and then I may not be able to shut up about it for a while.
Speaking of posting, mine are a bit random. I don't really talk about any one thing in particular, and mostly just use my journal as a way to get out of my head whatever thoughts are crowding me at that moment. Multiple posts in one day are equally as common as going nearly a fortnight without saying anything.
I don't mind if you friend just to read. Personally, I don't comment unless I have something to say. Blogging shouldn't be an obligation. Unless you're getting paid, and then it damn well is an obligation, but that's neither here nor there. My stuff is generally public, except for reasons, but if you add, I'll add back.
Uhm. I'm probably forgetting something. I don't know. Check out my journal for more information.
