Hello. I'd like to see if I can get some new people on my list. Recently I removed some journals because they weren't active or at least they didn't post regularly enough so I could get to know them. I've also been unfriended by some people since yesterday for calling Obama a "complete dip****" (to be fair I don't like any politician really)

I don't swear a lot and I hardly make political entries, but I suppose I need to keep my opinions to myself. On that note I am an opinionated person, but I normally just write about day to day stuff, gaming, and my gaming friends. I play City of Heroes/Villains a lot, but lately have also been playing some old DOS games. I like to read about other gaming experiences too and I love pets. :)

I update a lot. Which I would think is a good thing, but some people actually find that annoying. This is a reading/writing site though. I started this journal in May and have made 2,230 comments. I like interacting with people. It's important to me. I am not a typical commenter though. When I say that I mean what I say in a comment is generally different than the rest of that person's list. While everyone else may say, "GJ!" I will probably ask a question or make a joke (my sense of humor is weird though.) I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing hehe. :)

I'm not going to list the music I listen to, tv shows, movies and all that stuff I like because I don't think it matters much really. I don't mind a diversified list. I do have some of that listed as interests on my profile though.

Things I don't like:

Fandom journals
If you post more fanfic than other stuff (I don't read those)
If you mostly post video links, articles or song lyrics.
If your updates are mostly twitter stuff.
If you are a parent and post a lot about your children. (I'm childfree and dislike them)
People that only comment to disagree with me or only say something negative. I find this highly aggravating. I am generally a more positive than negative person, but I am moody. :P

Basically I just want to read people that post about themselves and what they've been up to. :)

Uhm... I'd also prefer if you were a girl. I just don't seem to get along with guys, but if you wanna try out each other anyway I will.

I don't think you have to keep opinions to yourselfl--that is what your journal is for! If someone doesn't like it, they can unfriend you and go on their merry way! You did nothing wrong. :)

And I agree with your political statement -- I don't like Obama or politics in general at all either.

I agree totally. Stand on your first amendment rights. If you had said you disliked a republican, would these people have applauded you? I suppose there are ways in which we can express our opinions, using good manners or just plain deference to someone who might be genuinely hurt by a harsh word or two, but dadgummit, it's your journal and you are entitled to say what you think of someone.

I don't think they liked me anyway. They never really commented on other stuff.

BTW, I agree with

brisus's comments, as well. It's your journal, and you can have opinions, you know? That said, in the past I've lost several friends over political debate stuff, which sucks. And is why I rarely mention politics (even though it is my journal, and I could).

If it matters, I dislike all politicians, pretty much. And at this point, that does include you know who.

Glad I found it, too. I think we can definitely be buddies. I've lost more "friends" than I care to recall over expressing my political beliefs. Also, though I don't hate kids, they seem to hate me. I do despise brats in public settings; have you seen that Please May I Whip Your Kids song on YouTube? I've played it in stores while passing excuses for parents...

I don't know anything about your favorite game there, but I imagine I'll be reading something or another about it soon! :D
