I'm Minaali. Just turned seventeen and from sunny Sri Lanka. In love with photography, cricket, travel, Harry Potter & the British pop band McFly. I guess you could say I'm not exactly the most 'normal' person around, but I mean that in the most positive way, I assure you.

My journal is a record of my teenage life, to prove, that at some point, minaal actually existed. It is also to laugh at myself when mature, adult me looks at them some time far far far into the future. I'm not going to lie, most of my entries revolve around my interests & whatever is going on in my life at that point. This means a lot of cricket, music, photography, design and of course the long rants about school, family & friends that you tend to get from a seventeen year old. Hopefully, I am interesting enough for you to add.

As a friend, I read all my friends entries every day and comment maybe 90% of the time? (Somedays when I'm busy, I just skim through the page) So, if anyone thinks that I sound interesting enough, please add me and comment either here or on my f/o post because I just migrated from LJ and am lacking more than a few active friends. ♥

Hii Minaal! ♥
I'm Claire, have been 22 for a couple months, and write from the rain drenched Philadelphia region of the United States!
(Watch me describe it as rainy and then have it enter into a drought u_u it'd be just my luck... *banishes Eeyore*
Let me check the forecast!!
There's a current flood warning for my area, then it's about 70% sunny/30% rainy over the next 10 days.)

Everyone's abnormal in a particular way, so だいじょうぶ.
One could even say it's normal to have a distinguishing characteristic or eight.

You could describe me as a musician, and... my profile mentions the linguistics thing, which, um: English primary, secondary Latin, Japanese and Russian, tertiary Ukrainian, Chinese and German. (Studying Greek now! There's no such word as "quaternarily" though. ...actually there IS quaternary...)
I think I was in an antisocial mood when writing that profile bio.
Mind it not!

My DW is an extension of my LJ - an attempt at communication with other people.
I comment approximately "whenever I feel like it", which depends on a complex formula combining how busy I am with how bad my headache is, factoring in about 20% hydration level, 20% hunger level, and 10% alertness level. (The other half's a strange combination of mood, friendliness level, and the miscellaneous "other")

How is Sri Lanka for you? ^^
Wikipedia tells me your homeland's UTC +5.30 and Google adds it doesn't change for daylight savings. Hmmm... so does that mean you're five and a half hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time, which is sometimes 5 hours ahead of me and sometimes not, depending on Daylight Savings?
♥ Ceylon tea!!
Wiki also says "Sinhalese and Tamil are the two official languages of Sri Lanka." I know neither ;_; my apologies!! I barely know what creoles are xD;;;; aren't those close to "pidgins"? *fail!linguist*

Planning to add you first thing tomorrow morning :)
+10.5, though, means it IS tomorrow morning for you already, but it isn't for me yet - ergo there'll be about a day pause! orz

Wow! Thank you. :)

Wikipedia tells me Sinhalese and Tamil are opposite each other...

I vaguely remember a Geography class from ten years back or so, where I had been assigned to study Sri Lanka! Honestly don't remember anything else about it, besides really disliking that teacher. xD;;;

Reading now about Indo-Aryan languages, which is the other sub-sect besides the Indo-European ones!
;_; I'm having difficulties installing Sinhalese support onto this machine... it looks really pretty, though! Very loopy. ^^

It must be like the "friendliness" of the north and the south of the US even now after the civil war.
Pretty artificial.

I only remember "I had to study Sri Lanka once in middle school :D but I didn't like the teacher =.= she was fat and old"

All the loveliest stuff is hardest to master.
