I am most likely to move from LJ to DW (I am a DW newbie), therefore it would be nice to get to know some people and having some reading material here as well.

Me.
27, German woman, married to a Japanese. I have been living near Tokyo since 2007(and yes, I was home when the earthquake occured...hiding under a table). No children, but 2 cats since June.

Interests (copied): alice in wonderland, animal documentaries, anime, asia, beyoncé, bleach, books, bridget jones, burlesque, cats, cinemas, coca-cola, cooking, dark wave, death rock, exhibitions, fashion, fast food, fetishism, final fantasy, glee, handbags, harry potter, icecream, illustrations, industrial, japan, japanese, joel-peter witkin, johnny depp, keira knightley, lady gaga, life, love, mad men, manga, maruo suehiro, movies, museum, music, myths, natalie portman, natsume's book of friends, ocean documentaries, photography, pirates of the caribbean, retro, ryu murakami, sex and the city, smiling, steampunk, studio ghibli, studying, super mario, tokyo, travelling, tv shows, vincent cassel, vintage, youtube. And more.
Well, I am not really into Anime, Manga & J-Music that much. If I find something interesting fine, but it is not like I am searching for something new the whole time. I used to like a Japanese band called D'espairsray a lot, but the rest of the J-Rock bands sound pretty same to me ;D
There are also some things I dislike or I don´t care about, but let's skip it.

Journal.
I post whenever I want. Every day, 2-3x a week, once a week, once in 2 weeks - it depends on my mood and free time.

Wow. Was it a big adjustment to move from Germany to Japan? I'm in Nebraska, USA, and I spent a summer in Japan when I was younger, but I couldn't imagine moving there permanently. But, then again, I'm not in love/married. I went ahead and added you, if that's okay -- we have a lot of similar interests. Hope you have a great weekend!

Hello and sorry that my reply was late.

I was so surprised to see this entry.

Actually! I am a foreign woman living in Saitama-ken for the past 4 years now. My partner of 9 years is Japanese. I also was not relocated by the Earthquake (was on a bus full with my 3 and 4 year old students) and am sticking around for the foreseeable future.

I am also not into a Anime/Manga/J-Rock culture but I do enjoy Japanese football and rot my brain with a lot of Japanese TV, especially comedy.
