Greetings, all.
Who and what am I:
Amirah. 21-years-old. Female. Malaysian born, but currently in New Zealand. Is![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
goldenneko at LJ. Half-Chinese, half-Malay, and loving it.
I'm a third year student at the University of Auckland, majoring in TESOL. Yes, I'll be a teacher in two years time. I have Malay and English as my main languages, and know basics of some other languages (Japanese, Chinese, Arabic, Germany), but not enough to speak in them. The unfortunate fate of the old me landed in these languages' class made the current me interested in it. Like writing, but love reading even more. Currently married to my laptop. Yes, I'm single, but not available.
Things I'm into/not-so-into:
01 - Animanga
I really, really in love with anime/manga, and I'm a true supporter of shonen-ai/yaoi. I write/read fanfictions for some of the fandoms I'm in, i.e. Marchen Awakens Romance, Samurai Deeper Kyo, Digimon, Air Gear, Gundam 00, Code Geass, Katekyo Hitman Reborn! and many, many more.
02 - Books
I love, love, love books! I'm an avid reader, with fantasy, crime, historial fictions as my main favourite. I also read non-fictions, and prefer to avoid chick-lit. Favourite author is Darren Shan, and all-time favourite books/series are The Demonata Series, The Historian and The Book of Lost Things.
03 - TV/Movies
I don't watch TV as much as other people, as well as movies. But I do like CSI and Criminal Minds. And random J-dramas.
04 - Music
I basically listen to all kinds of music, as long as it suits my mood at the time and catches my ears. Especially into bands/groups like HEY!SAY!JUMP, Tohoshinki/DBSK, Simple Plan, Linkin Park, and I think that Gwen Stefani is an amazing singer.
05 - Games:
I'm not much of a gamer, but I do play games on my Nintendo DS. I love The World Ends with You, like Cooking Mama and Pokemon series and enjoy Time Hollow and Children of Mana.
06 - Others
I also like Ancient Greek and Ancient Egypt myths! It amuses me to no ends. But this interest kinda dwindled as I focus more on my studies.Need to do something about it. I also draw, but not good enough to be proud of and show others.
What I wrote in my Journal:
I'm still fairly new here, but this is where I focus more about my real life. Expects less of the crazy me, more of the real me. Most crazy/fandom talks are truly dedicated to my LJ account. I'll talk about my real thoughts and feelings on so many things here, i.e. studies, people, life, etc...
