Creative Girl Seeks Friends

Hi, everyone. I made the move over here to dreamwidth from livejournal a few months ago. I'm looking to make some new friends here to share parts of my life with. I am a young woman in my mid-twenties residing in the United States. Currently, I have a job as a freelance writer; I am also working on my first serious novel, which would most likely fall under the category of psychological suspense. I also write short stories, poetry, songs, screenplays, and plays for the stage. Basically, writing is my life. :-) Music composition plays a big part in my life as well, and I've been at that since age 6.

Coming from a multiracial background, I appreciate my black, Native American, and European heritage and all that makes me unique. I am interested in Mexico, India, Norway, Iceland, Germany, Holland, Japan, and England; out of those mentioned, however, I have only visited England, and I loved it!

Random factoid about me: I used to speak Spanish fluently, but when I stopped putting it to use in my everyday life, it left me. But now, I am slowly but surely regaining my memory and relearning the language.

A few of my fandoms include True Blood, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Twilight, and generally speaking, supernatural horror flicks. I also love to watch parody films, because I LOVE to laugh. :-)

I love the snow, the rain, and any grey, cloudy day. Those things invigorate me and inspire me to create.

I know this couldn't completely cover it all, but if you want to know a little bit more, take a look at my interests on my profile page (and even my icons if that's what you'd need to do) and decide for yourself if you'd want to add me. My journal is friends-locked, but if you add me and comment I will most likely add you back! Wow! We seem to have a lot in common! I think it's great that you're into both writing and musical composition! Do you like movie scores at all?

Yes, I'd love to be friends! And yes, I love movie scores!! Hans Zimmer is my favorite composer (has been for 13 years, since I was about 13 years old), and my favorite movie soundtrack at the moment is Inception.
