Yet another...

LJ refugee.

Not a whole lot to tell, really. I'm a 23 year old post-grad, and I still identify as an English major (writing emphasis, anthropology minor), even though I've since done a stint in the retail world and currently do admin work for a ministry in my area. I am a Christian, but I don't expect anyone else to follow me there unless it is a choice they've also made. I talk about that, sometimes, and also about the struggles and questions I have.

This season in my life is being defined by authenticity and honesty. It has a lot to do with my relationship with God, but also my relationships with people in my life, online or off.

Beyond that, I'm a self proclaimed five year old. I am easily entertained, have a deep, deep appreciation for the little things in life. Coming back from a walk on the beach yesterday, my pocket was full of seaglass and smooth stones, and it made me absurdly happy. This is not unusual in the least. Other loves of mine include old things and antiques, people and places with a story, water and wind, dreams, and all number of things beyond. I'm also extremely fond of community, poems by Rilke, and tea.

Very, very fond of tea. >.>

And books. It's kind of a problem.

So that's me, in a nut shell. I don't write as much as I used to, but I'm working on that. I hold intelligent, well-rounded conversation with high regard, and love having an flist that reflects that. I'm always looking for more friends, though, so feel free to stop by!

you're very well-spoken (well-written?). but i guess that comes with being an english major.

English major here also (although I got my degree back in the 80s), with a love for old things (I collect books from 1850-1950) and Rilke (sighhhhhh!). I'm Wiccan, but if that's not a problem (I'm not pushy about it either) I'd like to try adding you. :)

Whoa, already added! ^-^

Obviously I'm losing track of things/need more coffee. Probably the latter. *goes off to put on some Folgers*

Holy Toledo, GAFF! Doesn't that bring back memories...

Are you on the Why God Why? board these days?

Between your love of tea, books, and a random Twitter entry I picked to open that included "really? really with the..." (a phrase I use quite often these days) I'd like to try friends?

That bit about walking on the beach could've been written by me. My thought process usually is something along the lines of, "This rock is shiny, therefore it is a good day." lol

Friends?

I'm intrigued! I don't share your religion, but I was once the girl questioning things and have since adapted my beliefs to something more me. Still, I am open-minded to others ideas on the subject, plus the rest of your intro sounds just like me. Pocket full of sea glass and stones? Yes. :)

I always say I'm a 3 year old! Most days I truly believe that, lol.

You seem quite lovely to be honest. What's your thoughts on giving this friends thing a shot? :P
