Greetings!
Name: Nelly
Age: 32
I mostly post about: I don't really know yet because I'm new. I think I just want to use this space to chronicle my daily happenings, vent about work, muse about my surroundings, share hopes and dreams, etc. That's how I always used LJ, anyway. I so miss the days of personal blogging before the algorithms took over everything.
My hobbies are: hiking, camping, writing, painting (I am terrible at it), going to shows, trying new foods, thrifting/treasure hunting, some light gaming.
My fandoms are: I'm not really into the scenes anymore, but: Dr. Who, Fargo, The Owl House, Gravity Falls, and Firefly are some examples of old favorites.
I'm looking to meet people who: Post about their lives and interests and are also looking for a connection.
My posting schedule tends to be: We'll see ':D
When I add people, my dealbreakers are: Just don't be unnecessarily aggressive or rude and we should get along just fine!
Before adding me, you should know: There may be some occasional adult content (not super graphic, though) so I may not be suitable for kids under 18!

Hello!
Welcome to Dreamwidth!
Consider recurring posts. Pick your favorite topic(s) and post about it regularly; this attracts readers who want to interact on that basis. This is much easier than staring at a blank postbox while trying to think of something to write.

While much of DW is fannish or otherwise topical stuff, not all of it is. There are still lots of folks in it for the personal side, who never read fanfic or crunchy stuff. The personal journals are a little bit harder to find, but some communities lean in that direction. Folks who post in those may be worth exploring.
Watch for recurring posts in individual blogs, such as...
My Recurring Posts tag includes Monday Updates; Wednesday rotates among Good News, Hard Things, and Cuddle Party. Thursday is currently Hobbies and Saturday is Philosophical Questions. Feel free to copy or riff on those for building personal interactions within your own blog.
>> reading, traveling, hiking, camping, cooking, acting, music (listening and performing), ttrpgs, computer stuff, regional Burning Man events, etc. <<
For reading:
For cooking:
I like reading, hiking, cooking, and listening to music. I post a fair number of recipes in my blog. Much of what I post about is writing or science news.

<3 Firefly.
Feel free to drop by my blog and check it out. I've just got the Holiday Poetry Sale posted, so there should be a lot of new stuff going up later this week.
