Well, I just returned from a longer hiatus and decided to do a fresh start on here instead of LJ to here so I thought I would look for some new friends on here so I’m giving this a try. My DW is still a bit empty but that will change soon but now let me tell you a bit about myself :)

I mostly post about: music (what I listen to, my most favorite band and singer, any songs or bands that catch my interest), daily stuff as in real life things, my thoughts, my husband, my friends, whatever gets my attention and I need to ramble about which can really be anything :P

My hobbies are: listening to music, reading about bands and music history, watching my favorite series, writing letters to pen friends (yes, per hand with fountain pens and inks on paper), spending time with friends, concerts (if possible)

My fandoms are: I am actually not in any fandoms. Music is my big fandom lol. I am listening to lots of hard and glam rock and also quite some metal. Music is everything to me and I could talk all day about it. But I don't haha! I of course also like other things like watching crime series or sitcoms or some history related stuff, but you might want to have a look at my profile if you're curious, I have listed some interests and what I like there :)

I'm looking to meet people who: post on a regular basis and don't disappear after a few days. People who are open and tolerant to accept people the way they are. Well, a regular comment exchange would be nice to become friends and not have another random number on the friends' list. Similar interests would be nice but isn't a must ;)

My posting schedule tends to be: I try to post weekly but it can happen that I post more during the week if I have something more to ramble about :)

When I add people, my dealbreakers are: the usuals I guess? Well, no racists, no haters, no bodyshaming, no violence, no trumpists and also: no hate/phobias against the LGBTQ+ community. 

Before adding me, you should know:
- please 25+ people only!
- no hard feelings if we don't click and have to remove each other.
- I am not interested in religion, politics, fanfics/fandom, picture posts only. I have no problem if anyone talks about it here and then but if it's solely about that, I'm out. Plus I don't go "aww how cute" about kids or pets so please don't mind me when I don't comment on such posts which can happen but not often.

I am very much a music lover... mostly goth rock stuff, but I also love punk, ska, classical, swing, jazz... I'll give most styles a try; I try not to attach my identity to just one style. I also play at least 4 instruments (always trying to learn more as I have time to), bass guitar and trombone being my main ones. My top two bands are Oingo Boingo and the Cure, Simon Gallup from the Cure probably being the single biggest reason I wanted to pick up bass guitar back when I was a kid.

I do talk some politics, but not too much, I don't think. I'm libertarian, which to put it simply, means that I want government to basically just leave people alone, not be a part of our day to day lives. There are some who call themselves libertarian who endlessly praise Trump... I am assuredly not one of them.

I'm happily married with a one and a half year old daughter, and a son who sadly died in NICU some 5 years back.

I journal compulsively but I keep a very tight lock on who can read most of my posts because they can be extremely messy, personal, explicit, and sometimes very depressing and not everyone needs to see all of that. So I'm more comfortable just sharing my public posts at first until I get a feel for people and make sure they want to dive all the way into the fray (of course absolutely no pressure to actually read any of it), if that's okay with you :)

My public posts are probably 1-2 per week. locked posts can be anywhere from 4+ per week to 4 per day. I have been journaling like this since 2001, it's just what I do I can't stop typing out thoughts lol.

I post a fair bit about that even though 99% of my DW chums are not into it but read and comment anyway because the posts are usually comedic. (I also write comedy reviews of gigs on a public blog, some of the bands find the reviews hilarious, others are more...WTF!) Interested?

Hi. I can't promise not to disappear ever, I do tend to have periods when I write more and then those when I write less. But I usually continue reading and commenting even when I'm not posting myself.
I love music - probably not as much as you, but I can relate. I'm around the same age, and tend to have similar reactions to several things you mentioned, so I think we could be a good match. Feel free to check out my journal before adding ;)

I'd be up for trying it! I'm 46F, polyamorous, childfree, live in the Northeast, work in tech, do circus for fun. I dump my brain very regularly once a week, with the occasional single-topic post if something really wild happens. And I get to see the Cure next week in concert OMGGGGGGG, so that is going to be the topic of a post rather soon.
