Hi, I'm Kat!
Name: Kat
Age: 33
I mostly post about: I'm coming back to DW after a few years; I lost the habit of journaling. I used to use it for working through my emotions and PTSD after being severely abused. I will probably still talk about that, and also use the space to vent about other difficult stuff going on. But I also plan to document my life as a new lawyer, exciting new things I plan to do, travel, and analysing books and TV I'm enjoying (or sometimes not enjoying!).

My hobbies are: reading, writing, travel, horseback riding, and I'm trying to pick up some new ones (or old ones I've dropped) now that I have a stable job and live in a big city, like hiking, ballet, and getting my wildlife rehabilitation license.
My fandoms are: I'm not really a fandom person; I like to do litcrit, but that's about it. I do watch a lot of TV, I just don't write about shipping or anything like that, so it might be a little boring.
I'm looking to meet people who: don't mind me talking about my abuse experience, and whose lives are different from mine: I really love getting to know people, and the details of their lives, in ways you don't in normal in-person interactions, and also being exposed to hobbies and interests and lifestyles that I wouldn't even know existed if not for new friends.
My posting schedule tends to be: I'm just getting back into journaling, so let's say sporadic? I will most likely post from my office, that's as much as I know right now. I used to be a daily poster and would like to get back into that.
When I add people, my dealbreakers are: right-wing politics. I'm disabled and queer, and as far as I'm concerned, human rights are not up for debate. I don't mind being in an echo chamber that doesn't include homophobia, transphobia, racism, misogyny, or anything else. I just want to surround myself with kind and open-minded people.
Before adding me, you should know: I'm queer, disabled, and only slowly getting out of poverty; it will probably come up. I can be pretty shy and nervous about commenting on other people's journals at first, but I do read entries and agonise over how to comment in a way that won't be perceived as annoying you.
