*I'm atheist, and I think fundamentalism (especially culty Christian fundamentalism) is fascinating. Highly recommend Fundie Fridays on YouTube for deep dives into different families and organizations.

I'm atheist and find fundamentalism fascinating in a train wreck kind of way. I'm subscribed to the YouTube channel "Fundie Fridays" which posts videos about different organizations and people involved in (mostly Christian) fundamentalism

Adding you. 36 myself, and I post about daily life. I enjoy singing, teaching myself ukulele, and crafting. I do have morbid fascinations with various fundamentalisms: I remember going down a MAGA rabbit hole and finding some churches about men being men and women subjugating themselves. Ooohhh boy. I enjoy learning about plagues and medical history too.

You seem interesting. I like reading and writing about people's lives. The only thing I would ask is, are you interested in religious fundamentalism from a scholarly point of view, or are you, yourself, a fundamentalist?

Well, then, we should get along fine. :-) I'm a Wiccan and a hard polytheist (lemme know if you need any explanation especially of the latter term) and am perfectly happy to accept what other people believe or don't believe. Except of course if they are fundies bent on endangering me and mine.

I am not a fundamentalist, and I don't think my interest can even be called scholarly - it's more like I read the news about Josh Duggar getting arrested last year, and then read about other issues in the IBLP, and finally decided "well, I definitely need to watch this train wreck."

I've been pretty interested in urban fantasy/magical realism lately, love mythology retellings like Ariadne and Circe, also read a lot of Stephen King, Neil Gaiman, Jodi Picoult, Nicholas Sparks. I've had a Book of the Month subscription for a little over a year now and it's been a great way to discover work by new authors too!

I've been slacking on video games lately and have only really played Animal Crossing and Tetris 99 in the past few months, but I really loved The Wolf Among Us, Hue, and the Life is Strange franchise. Dr Mario is a classic favorite, and I have soooo many indie games on Steam! I guess the biggest genres for me are puzzle platformers, story-based games, and life simulators. I play on PC, Switch, and my mini NES.

I don't think I can really choose a favorite! Greco-Roman is the mythology I know the most about, Norse is probably second. A smattering of Egyptian mythology and Russian/Slavic folklore. I have compilations of Andrew Lang's fairy books that I need to read too!

Hey, never doubt the power of Tetris! I've been doing a lot of that myself. (Otherwise I've been a WoW junkie since 2007.) Dr. Mario is good- I remember playing that on my gameboy about twenty-something years ago. Good game! I've not heard of the Wolf Among Us - what's that like?

My sisters gifted me a 6-month subscription to Book of the Month [full disclosure: this is my referral link that will give me a free book if you sign up] in December 2020; I've really enjoyed it, and this is where I purchased by copies of Madeline Miller's "Circe" and Jennifer Saint's "Ariadne." I loooove Lore Olympus and can't wait for it to come back from hiatus!

The Wolf Among Us is a prequel to the "Fables" comic series and is about fairytale characters living in 1980s NYC. You play as Sheriff Bigby Wolf, who is investigating a series of murders with assistant mayor Snow White. There's a second season coming out next year!

I love Fundie Fridays! I'm 31, also atheist, strong interest in the Satanic Panic and fundamentalism. I mostly post under friends-lock about daily life, photos of my cats, etc., but when I get my hands on a good Satanic Panic-era book, I usually write a review about it with quotes, and if I find an old fundie VHS tape I try to upload the best clips. I'm into fandom but I keep it to a monthly round-up list of fics I wrote hidden under a read more.
