I am yet another Livejournal refugee looking for new friends here on DW.
My name is Nina. I'm 29 and I draw and paint. I have a fat cat, a wonderful fiance and a serious video game addiction.
I'm from Brazil, born and raised in São Paulo. I'm going to move to America (Austin) sometime in the next couple of years, as my fiance is American and we want to get married and maybe start a family (if we can afford it). I just don't know for sure when I'll be moving, since that depends on the immigration process.
I'm not religious but I was brought up Pagan. I don't mind if you're religious and post about it, though. I'm not one of those angry atheists or anything. Religion is not to be blamed for the bad stuff that happens in this world. If we didn't have religion, people would just find something else to fight about, some other reason to blow shit up, some other justification for marrying 8-year-olds. You gotta have way too much faith in humanity to blame something else for our stupidity and greed.
Let's see... what else can I say about me? I grew up a huge Disney fan and went to Disney World every year with mom. I have not been there since I was 16 and I miss it desperately. I also really enjoy anime when the story is good (or when the characters are cute enough to make me forget there's even a story).
Anyway, I guess that's it. None of my friends have accounts here (and they barely updated their LJs as it was) so I am looking for new people tostalk follow. Go ahead and add me if you want.

my name is xaea, i'm 29 and i WISH i could draw and paint. i used to have a cat but we moved to an apartment that doesn't allow pets and as soon as we have a house, i want to adopt a rescue yorkie. (we'll probably get another family cat too.)
i am also addicted to video games although my addiction has been dormant of late. my video games of choice are mario kart, sims 3, and animal crossing. :)
