hello!

NAME: dom

AGE: 27

ABOUT: she/they, queer, autistic. i work in science but spend most of my free time writing/making art. i primarily use tumblr and only made a dreamwidth because i was nostalgic for the days of livejournal blogging, so i mostly blog about my daily, not-so-exciting life! i am in a couple of fandoms but am not a primarily fannish blog, though i may interject posts with random babbling about fanfic i'm currently writing.

INTERESTS & HOBBIES: mostly journaling, writing (mainly fanfic at the moment), and hannibal. i also enjoy reading, graphic design, drawing, teaching myself languages, & knitting. other tv/film i'm into include star trek tos, the new james bond films, twin peaks, and yuri on ice, off the top of my head. before covid hit i really enjoyed going to concerts. T__T

LOOKING FOR: anyone else who's nostalgic for livejournal. haha. but really, anyone else who's using this as an online diary of sorts. also, any writers or creators documenting their stuff and their process on here.

i love reading about people's general day-to-day lives so long as they don't mind. i used to be really into fandom life but now am sort of just looking for people with similar interests who don't necessarily need to post fandom related things.

also i am pretty shy and not the best at reaching out or keeping up conversation, and i totally understand if you're like that and just want to silently be mutuals :D

ANYTHING ELSE?: 18+ only please!

Welcome! There’s been a lot of people recently looking for the old “LJ nostalgia”.

This is definitely my online diary of sorts. At the moment I’m in the midst of moving from London to a House in the Forest, which has had a lot of ups and down and getting a lot of journal air time. I’m a writer (prose and most recently getting into interactive fiction/games), knitter, spinner, reader, hiker, gardener, gamer, and a traveler. I live in the UK, but I’m American. And I’m a mum of a 2.5 year old. Blog content mostly includes such things, although at the moment it’s been a big moan as we had a major set back on our move.

Anyway, will add you. Cheers!

I'm so nostalgic for LJ that I've also been crossposting to my twenty-year-old account there. :)

I'm trying to give regular updates on "what I'm reading" and "what I'm writing" here. My guess is that this will turn into diary-type entries very quickly... but even if it doesn't, I'm motivated to read and to connect with some new Internet strangers. It's been a while!

I write. I like Twin Peaks. I miss the days of LJ. This is kind of an online diary, but when I get busy I slack off and disappear. I comment sometimes. Full disclosure. I'm down if you are.

I still crosspost to my 20 year old account too.

Hullo! I'm a queer autistic person nostalgic for the Web 1.0 LiveJournal days, who has partially drifted out of fandom as well (coincidentally, I'm re-watching NBC's Hannibal with my partner who has never seen it, and I've forgotten everything past mid-season 2). I'm also shy and not the best at reaching out, so perhaps we could be quiet mutuals!

I’ve been here for a few years now, so largely acclimated—-although that’s to London which is like its own country, so the move to a countryside village may prove a shock ^_^ The UK is not a place without its problems (all places have problems), but I do very much enjoy living here.

He is! I've sent him AU Hannigram fanfiction in the past, so I think I've accidentally gotten his expectations really high. It's hard not to react to little details here and there that foreshadow a lot of plot later in the seasons. :') I'm doing my best to keep quiet and let him enjoy it for the first time.

Super late comment, pls forgive.

Hello! I'm also super about Hannibal and also Twin Peaks - tl;dr if it's weird, gory, or weird and gory, I'm so there. And I'm also super nostalgic for the days of journaling. I don't post much - I'm more of a commenter - but I'd love to add you, if you're down!

Sorry if this is out of the blue!

I'm still trying to figure out Dreamwidth, just like I tried and failed to figure out LiveJournal back in high school. But it seems that we have similar interests! I've recently re-binged Hannibal and promptly fell back into it. I also like knitting! But I'm hoping to learn how to crochet and recently got myself a little crocheting kit.

My few posts are mostly about plot bunnies that I hope to fulfill one day, but I do want to get into journaling more.

I hope you have a great day! :D

hi! Not-very-exciting daily life sounds a lot like what I'm planning on posting about. I've always journalled/written a diary and I'm looking forward to filling the internet as well as notebooks! haha.

I've added you

No worries, my response is just as insanely late!

I finally started crocheting this past week and it's so much more fun than I expected it to be. I was apprehensive for the longest time because I was like "how does one stick make thing?" But I'm getting the hang of it and am making little practice circles and squares.

Hope you are doing well!
