Hello world!
NAME: Logan. That's not my legal name, which I still use freely in the offline world -- but almost everyone calls me Logan online these days. I'm a guy. He/him.
AGE: Old. Well, all right, let's say "in my 40s" and leave it at that, shall we?
INTERESTS & HOBBIES: I'm not into anime/manga, really. Right, now 90% of you have stopped reading, I'll scare away most of the rest. My primary and most active fandom is My Little Pony. Yes, it's still a thing. We didn't all fade away years ago as you may fondly have imagined! I'm not a hugely fannish person beyond that, though Watership Down was my first and remains my favourite book (my username comes from that), and I'm a fairly casual viewer of Doctor Who. Oh, and Miraculous Ladybug on occasion, too.
I used to be fairly active in furry -- with a rabbit fursona, hence a few of my icons -- but that's largely a thing of the past now. In the non-fandom world, my interests include cricket (hey, I am English!), weather/meteorology, retrocomputing, reading (mostly non-fiction, especially history), current affairs, walking, trains (especially steam trains), motorsport, photography (at a fairly casual standard) and using too many brackets. There are probably more that have entirely slipped my mind at the moment, so you can add "forgetting what my interests are" if you like.
LOOKING FOR: People to talk to, really! I was on LiveJournal from 2003, and only finally left after one of the Russian anti-LGBT palavers. Dreamwidth is (obviously) very familiar in look and feel, but I really do miss the vigour of LJ at its height. DW is very quiet sometimes, and it would be great if it were a little bit less so. I love rambling on in comments and so on. That said, I won't mind at all if you don't comment or post yourself very often. I'm pretty easy-going about that kind of thing, and it's not as if I can always think of what to say to other people's posts.
WHAT I POST: Nearly all my journal is public, so flicking down its last couple of pages will give you a pretty good idea of the sort of rambly waffling I go in for. I'd like to post a bit less pandemic stuff, but realistically it's going to be a major topic for quite some while yet. I generally only lock posts that mention personally identifying details -- family subjects, detailed health matters, exact location, you get the idea.
I do post about politics sometimes. I'm centre-left by UK standards, so adapt that for your own country's norms. I'm pretty open to people of other views for the most part, and I actively try to avoid the Twitter/Tumblr echo chamber effect. If you're going to give me "Gates and Soros made a fake virus to forcibly vaccinate us all with 5G" stuff then we probably aren't going to connect very well. Otherwise, things should work out all right.
ANYTHING ELSE? I have several trans and non-binary friends. Their validity is not negotiable. Oh, and feel free to add/remove me as you wish. No offence will be taken.
ALSO KNOWN AS: I'm Logan(berry) pretty much everywhere these days.

I like cricket, and even occasionally post about it. I'm centre-left (Plaid), and spend a lot of my time as deputy mayor of a small town in south west wales, where I try to make a difference for those who so often get forgotten. I also joined LJ in 2003, and most of my journal is friends-only, but I'm fairly relaxed who I add. I'm 40, female, married, and into walking during this pandemic thing.
And I have a loganberry in my garden.

(I'm not posting much lately, but it's... not a permanent thing, I hope!)
So, anyhow, feel free to check out my journal and see if you think that we'd get along, too)) (it's not that i don't subscribe to journals that don't subscribe to me, but i am here to make friends, and one-sided interaction tends to annoy me..)

Very short version so as not to bore you too much: a kids' cartoon that ran from 2010 to 2019 based on a toy line of plastic toy ponies. In a way nobody at all expected, least of all Hasbro, the cartoon spawned a vast fandom that included a whole heap of adults. It's very weird, and I say that as a member!
Anyway, hello and welcome! Your journal looks pretty interesting to me, so I've just added you. Let's see how things go. :) As with everyone else here, I'm not going to be remotely offended if you decide we're not clicking and feel you'd rather unsub.

But, yeah, hi! I'm looking forward to knowing more!

I’m in my 40’s as well. I do ramble. I’m a married US expat in Mexico with a trio of kids and a weird life history, once described as Hunter S. Thompson in pearls currently studying to be a relationship/sex coach. Perhaps we’ll get on, perhaps not, only one way to tell. I’ll just go ahead and add you and you can add back or not. Ciao!

In the meantime, please check you can see this locked post, which adds a few details I didn't feel comfortable putting out here. If you can't, let me know and I'll fiddle with the settings. Thank you!
