Looking for friends

Hello! I'm Nikki and I am new to the dream width community. I'm active on another journaling website, but I want to expand my horizons. I also want to work on my writing, and hopefully meet new friends!

I'm 30, married, and have a few kids. (; I really never know what to say in these things, but I am interested in all sorts of people from various walks of life. I will be using this journal to write about my daily life mostly. I also just recently started dabbling in poetry, fiction, and even non-fiction, so I will probably post some of that stuff here, too.

What kind of genre do you write? I mostly write satire. I'm toying with the idea of a fairytale/fantasy story, and I have a bit of writing set in the 1920s.

So I've only just started out writing through a competition on LiveJournal, so I'm not sure if I write a genre, yet! Every week there is a new topic and you write something on that. I'm going to make a post of all of my entries that I've written so far. I love satire!
