Hi!
Here is me in a nutshell: I'm in my early 30s, identify as queer, am working on a dissertation on poetry and fiction, teach for a living, and love writing (and reading).
As far as 'fandoms' go, I like anything by Joss Whedon (especially Firefly). I never miss an episode of either FlashForward or Dollhouse, but I rarely watch other current TV shows. I'm mostly inclined to posting about books, cinema and issues I'm interested in (such as gayness and feminism).
I'd love to connect with people with similar interests, but I'd also be delighted to friend people who are very different from me because it's always interesting to learn new stuff. :-) I would also like to have more active communities on my reading list, so I'd be grateful for recs to interesting ones!
