LOOKING FOR: I'm looking for those who tend to write about their lives; I'm not big on fandom. It would be wonderful to find others who enjoy reading and crafting. Also, I'm trying to get back into shape, so it might be good to have others for accountability.

ANYTHING ELSE?: The past few years have been difficult health-wise, but I finally have answers. I'm a hot mess trying to cut my losses. (I'm talking about leaving a grad program type of losses, trying to figure out how to make a career from the esoteric intersection of my studies.) Rebuilding my health and life at the moment.

Hi, I'm not into fandom either, have struggled with weight in my adult life and waffle on about my life and suffer chronic aches and pains. I am twice your age but hope that won't matter. I'm young at heart :) Want to give it a try?

Age does not matter at all. I'm a bit of an old soul. We can waffle about chronic aches and pains together--I put up a list of my bullshit conditions under a locked entry, so have fun with that. I'm trying to build an adult life right now, so I hope you enjoy the journey. Added!

I'm a 20-something grad student trying to learn how to be healthy.

Concerning the content I write about -- it's mostly just my journal, so just my day-to-day thoughts, feelings, and events. Sometimes I write an essay about what I'm doing, but most of the technical stuff is left to my technical blog.

I'd be happy to be a frequent reader of your journal. Hope that helps you with accountability.

Indeed, a frequent reader would help with accountability. I see that you are applying to a CS grad program. Though I'm an English grad student, I'm employed by Computer Science at the moment. We can have nerdy conversations, well, if you enjoy the intricacies of text mining early modern literature, heh.

Figuring out how to be healthy is so important, especially in grad school. Can't emphasize that enough.

Honestly, I haven't enrolled yet. The general plan is to enroll by the end of this month if all goes well. I just graduated (a bit unexpectedly) with an English degree, and now I'm trying to figure out what that means and am thinking this graduate program is the right path...

I read some of your journal already, at least the entries on the index. Though I'm younger than you with even less life experience, I feel like I'm in a very similar mindset right now.

I am in fandoms but I hardly ever post about them solely, I might mention something in passing. Usually my entries are focused on my real life or lack-thereof.

I recently found my way back to Dreamwidth and am trying my best to frequently use my account for what it's intended; journaling about my life. I'd love to get to know you, so I added you. :)
