Greetings, I am Phoenix_Reborn. New to Dreamwidth, but I have had an LJ account for forever - ok, years. Recently, a lot has changed in my life. In reality, there's very little that hasn't changed. I left LJ completely, leaving behind the past and starting fresh here.
Me and my better half, KuntryBoy, currently live all across the lower 48 states. Our home is in a Semi-truck. Including the length of the trailers we pull, we're 78ft long, usually 12'4" high. We are long haul truckers. I use the term losely as we have a wonderful understanding partnership. KuntryBoy does all the driving, I do all the cooking and everything else is split down the middle. We don't haul furniture or food. We're the ones you see going down the road with the farm equipment, construction equipment and most of the time, we're the ones you're stuck behind on the interstate with the tall or wide loads running behind the truck.
Because we're on the road literally 350 days a year, getting internet can be a pain in the butt. But I'll do my best to stay in touch with anyone who's interested. The journal will contain things like day to day life, where we are, what we've seen and done. Anything to do with our family - which is spread across the lower 48. Also pictures of where we've been, freight we've hauled.
Life on the road can be difficult, not everyone is cut out for it. 9 out of 10 don't make it in the first year and most truck drivers are alone in their trucks for the hundred miles or the 3,000 miles it takes from picking something up to delivering it.
Me: I am the oldest of 3 daughters. I have the world's most wonderful man. Thanks to him I have two daughters and four grandchildren, a sweet mother in law, an inspiring grandmother in law and several nieces and nephews - all at the young age of 31!
