Hello
I am a newbie here and have been active on Livejournal since creating my journal in 2003 which has resulted in meeting quite a few lovely people. I just created this journal not long ago and would like to make some new friends here as well.
My name is Crissy.
I'm 31 years old.
Married to David.
Kentucky girl.
An aunt.
Stay at home mother of 2, a girl and boy ages 3 and 6.
I have two half siblings, one sister, one brother.
I don't drive due to personal reasons.
We have our own little mini-zoo as I like to call it that includes dogs, cats, guinea pigs and bunnies.
Likes a little bit of everything. I love being outdoors, reading, tv, a wide variety of music, movies; especially horror/paranormal suspense, bubble baths, nail polish, the internet, thunderstorms, snow, animals, cooking, crafting, coffee, graphic/web design, the list goes on.
Dislikes complete darkness; it's not that I'm scared of the dark, I just want to be able to see what's in the darkness. Complete silence; I always have some kind of noise around me with two kiddos, I'm used to it. When it's quiet, it feels off plus I'm used to sleeping with either the TV on or a fan. Masks; especially ones that completely cover your face. I want to be able to see at least something that will help me identify you if needed. Again, this list could go on and on.
Music Shinedown, Theory of a Deadman, The Band Perry, Sugarland, Nickelback, Tech N9ne, Carrie Underwood, AC/DC, Metallica, Poison, Def Leppard; as you can see, I have a wide variety of music I listen too.
TV Shows Supernatural, House, NCIS, Monk, American Idol, Teen Mom, 16 & Pregnant, American Horror Story, Lizard Lick Towing, All Worked Up, Pawn Stars, American Pickers, The Singing Bee, The Walking Dead, Haven, You Deserve It, old shows like Golden Girls, Designing Women, Roseanne and many, many more. My DVR stays busy.
Movies I love anything horror except ones with mostly gore like Hostel or Saw. Halloween, Friday the 13th, NOES, Child's Play, all the classics are favorites. I also like Paranormal Activity 1 & 2 (haven't seen 3 yet), Final Destination (all of them except 5, haven't seen it yet), Insidious and more. I do enjoy chick flicks and comedies as well.
Who I'd like to meet I'm hoping to meet people who don't get bored reading about everyday life things. I talk about my kids, husband or just things that happened in general. I sometimes post pictures but not often. I sometimes rant and rave about my favorite TV shows or ask for advice about things going on in my life. I complain about family drama or just whatever is on my mind. My life isn't full of excitement, I'm a stay at home mom who rarely goes out and would like to meet some people who can relate to the boredness this can result in or just relate to the ups and downs of motherhood or being a wife. I don't expect comments on every entry, I just enjoy reading about other peoples lives and getting to know new people and making new friends. I have met some great friends on Livejournal and would like to do the same here.
Extras I met my husband David online. We've been married for 8 years now. I can definitely understand the complications of being in a long distance relationship.
We currently are staying with my parents. We bought our first home a couple of years ago. It's a fixer upper and has taken us a lot longer than expected to get it completed. Lots of health issues with my dad occurred that slowed the process down due to us staying here to provide help to him and my mom through all of it and not giving us much time or money to work on it. I may whine about this at times.
