I'm here in the anticipation of expanding my friends list with some like-minded and interesting folks. I'm new to DW but not new to journalling. I have had a LJ account for a number of years but due to the recent problems they seem to be having, I thought I'd give DW a go. I have mental health issues and for that reason don’t get out very much so I would love some more entries to read to pass the time of day.

I always read my friends entries but comment only when I think I have something valuable to say and when I feel comfortable.

I get along with almost anyone, regardless of age, gender and all that jazz but have to admit that I don’t suffer fools gladly I have a good sense of humour, I’m honest, open minded, caring laid-back and a whole load more desirable qualities to boot.

I seem to post a lot of randomness, which include meme’s, videos and pictures. I also have a nine-week-old granddaughter so expect a bit of baby talk too.

I’m interested in tons of stuff. I know a little bit about a lot but wish I knew a lot about a little. I’m a music lover. I’m heavily into Marcy Playground, PET, Mumford and Sons and Eliza Doolittle at the moment. I also like music from 60’s to the present day.

I like black and white photographs, steam punk, nature, StumbleUpon, flickr, mental health, knitting, drawing, cooking, Xbox 360, PS3 and abandoned buildings especially asylums and hospitals. I like reading and have just started to read Dead until Dark by Charlaine Harris and I’m thoroughly enjoying it.

I also own four cats, one dog, a rabbit, and fish so as you can see I’m an animal lover. I had four rats up until recently but sadly I had to give them up. I’d love to own a couple of pigs.

We definitely have a lot in common! I currently have three rats, two gerbils, a cat and a dog (and I used to have a lot more). I also love steampunk, abandoned places, and games :D
