NAME: FJBryan
AGE: do you remember rotary phones? So do I.
INTERESTS & HOBBIES: travel, music of many flavors (list below), reading (sci-fi and fantasy, mysteries, well-written non-fiction), tv (often older shows), baseball, basketball, cricket, wine and dessert, fandom, trying new restaurants, theatre. I spend a lot of time writing for work so I don't do much fanfic writing any more.

MUSIC: Old and new (rock, shoe-gaze, punk, ska, indie, alternative, techno, EDM, classical, jazz, organ). Favorites in no particular order: Hot Chip, Muse, La Roux, Factory Floor, Chemical Brothers, Beatles, U2, REM, Eurythmics, Franz Ferdinand, Skrillex, Rodrigo y Gabriela, JSBach, Chopin, Rachmaninoff, Mozart, Dennis Brain, Peter Hurford, Martha Argerich, John Coltrane, Ella Fitzgerald, Art Blakey, Bill Evans, and...you get the idea. The only stuff I don't listen to is country and western.

FANDOM: LOTR, Babylon 5, Queer as Folk, The Professionals, Sherlock (BBC). I've written fic in the first 4, and right now, I read in the last 2. I attend fan-run cons like Escapade and MediaWest and with friends I run a small con devoted to the Professionals in even-numbered years.

LOOKING FOR: Friends trying to do this life-thing. Fandom, music, or not, all good.

ANYTHING ELSE?: Work and family doesn't get me down too much. I like my job and am grateful I'm in work that I like doing. I don't talk about work too much, tho. So, not too much drama.
